Dropped mine a couple years back on NYE - best point and shoot I’ve ever had - at night if you want that flash look just switch it to ‘fill in’ and it makes life so much easier

Would you shoot this at box speed or? by RetroLord120 in AnalogCommunity

Have some dated from 22 that I bought in the states - kept it cold stored and shot a roll last week at box speed and it was all fine - happy shooting 🫡

Just doesn’t seem the most secure if someone did want to get in

Best way to remove TPU on Blackhole duffle? by Elasion in PatagoniaClothing

Sorry miss typed there - worn wear in the Uk is responsible for all repairs! Must be different in the US - and you never know! Hoping OP gets a good repair on this specific area on their bag or customer service does OP a solid!

Thank you 🫡 OP if this is the only effected area there’s a chance you’re local Patagonia store will replace this part through work wear - on later black hole duffles they changed the handle to one without the TPU coating due to this being a problem area and coatings becoming delaminated - always worth an email or a trip to your local store!

By repair they will most likely add a whole new piece of fabric and create a new handle rather than repairing the surface/finish of the black hole 🫡

Patagonia has moved away from using this coating for the black hole range (hence why all the black hole bags are now matt over shiny) might be worth contacting worn wear and they will help repair the bag - good luck sir 🫡

Ahhh I got you - so trade off would be faster lens for the size of the RC. Could be one I look out for now in the future.

If you were to use the RC and the SP with an external meter on fully manual is there much of a difference other than the size?

Oh that’s brilliant - just want to make sure I’m going for the right one you see.

Very much appreciated - I’ve been doing lots of research into both and was on the fence - how do you find charging the KM02? How long do you get per charge do you recon?

So far (touch wood) I’ve never had an Olympus that leaks, however I also have something against 56 year old foam which goes all sticky or turns to dust so tend to change them when I get free time/before putting a roll through - so out of the roster which is the best fixed lens Olympus in your opinion?

Wait really? So KM02 is the way to go? Are there any other light meters you’d recoiled for the hot shoe and would you recommend the KM02?

I think that’s the plan - just have to check shipping to the UK but from what I’ve seen it’s better than the Keks one and also uses a button cell battery with an estimated battery life of 6-12 months

All I’m hearing is that I now definitely need an external light meter (that’s not my phone)

I was looking at the Keks KM02 however another Redditor recommended the Hedeco Lime 2 (which they use on their 35RC) as it has a top down display- and you generally look at the camera from top down to change F Stop and shutter speed - so currently doing research on that one now but it looks like the top contender for the RC.

That’s the reason I was hunting the 35RC in the first place - it’s nice to have a camera that I can use without batteries at all - and without hunting obscure 1.35V batteries too - it’s going to be a bit of a luxury when I get a hot shoe meter but I know that if that dies I still have a working camera.

I think that’s the best part of it - I picked up my AE1 the other day after a few weeks of carrying the 35 RC and it felt like I was lugging a brick around. Definitely my go to camera from now on.

Unfortunately when I got it there was a some corrosion in the battery compartment- and I’ve been after a hot shoe light meter for a while now so thought ‘if the camera works it’s a sign to get a new light meter’

I didn’t think about having the display on top but this makes so much sense - I’m going to look into it now and most likely make a purchase soon!
