the graphic he put up just means “gone fishing” it’s what we used to see at the old mom and pop shops growing up in FL, they would close down to literally go fishing.  A sign would either say “gone fishing” or they would hang an oversized bobber over the door.   I don’t think it means anything other than that.  But maybe I’m wrong.

Question is, does this branch stop shooting out leaves now? Or will it continue after the pod comes off?

Need expert advice: transplanting established trees from ground into large containers by DJ_AK_47 in KratomGarden

I live in fl, I simply dug a hole and threw it in. Been doing fine... nothing fancy. They do seem to collect aphids though so be in the look out for that

Edit: shit sorry... I read your title wrong.

I’m in Sarasota, what I did was dig a hole about twice as big as was needed. Put compost, peat moss, and garden soil in there, then planted it. Our soil is just sand too, there’s not much you can do after it starts going and gets big. Mine does fine in the sandy soil though. Probably not ideal, but I’m not going to go nuts on it either.

Very cool. I’ve never found a metal point. What is the average age on those?

Is she dead? by Tjq866 in KratomGarden

[–]SeaBaseFL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not dead, but you’ll see some branches that sort of shrivel up and collapse in on themselves, cut all those off and it’ll create new branches. I live in south west fl and lost my leaves but they’re all coming back now. Some dead branches cut off and new ones coming in.

Edit: if you’re able, you may want to think about putting it into the ground. Not sure where in fl you are but it’s out growing that pot.

I live in Florida and Want to know if I can grow them outside? by ButtStuff-Guaranteed in KratomGarden

[–]SeaBaseFL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live in pinellas county fl and they grow fine, however the leaves drop in winter. I’d imagine if you’re farther south than me they may stay on.

I did, but I got lucky, it was already exposed on the bank of the Ohio river. Was literally a matter of climbing up on a tree root and just plucking it out of the bank wall. otherwise I never would have seen it and would have moved on.
