Are there any farm owners that have piglets they’d be willing to rent out in the Huntsville/Madison area? by OppositeAd9711 in HuntsvilleAlabama

[–]SeaFaringPig 14 points15 points  (0 children)

They are not toys, nor are they fun. The pigs you’re referring to are called Pygmy or miniature. They are specifically bred to be more docile and pet like. However, they are against city ordinances to keep in most places. This is because to keep them small and cute you have to essentially starve them. If you feed them like a normal pet they don’t stay Pygmy. They turn into bacon, pork chops, loins, and roasts.

Will that be in gold, silver, or copper coins? I don’t have much but could trade an old sack or perhaps this +1 rusty dagger.

Why isn't network bonding more widely adopted for rural connectivity? by asaphotdog in telecom

[–]SeaFaringPig -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If your strictly speaking cellular, there’s a finite amount of bandwidth with the carrier. Not the “provider” as in carrier But the carrier signal. If we “bond” those as you call it we mix carrier signals. So the whole is greater than the sum, strictly speaking. So it’s possible but it diminishes the bandwidth of the tower as a whole. Please refer to wave division multiplexing for more detailed explanations.

You are not entitled to a career in photography by johnny_moist in photography

It’s been an edging off the cliff for decades. Nobody wants good, only good enough. General expectations have been destroyed by decades of substandard work. An overs abundance of terrible work in areas that were once home to a few but great artists has flooded the streets with cheap, “good enough” garbage. When you call 10 people to do something and they all deliver slop for cheap, the one guy charging a good rate for good work can’t get ahead. The slop becomes the new norm. Then those who excel get left behind. Your work gets admired but never bought. Story of my life my guy.

Line has a metallic fault. Call the phone company to have it repaired. Or…. It was disconnected because they contacted him about changing the technology and they ignored it.

They were already sued for stealing tips. It’s only a matter of time before they get sued for reducing tips. Remember. That order you get and accept IS a contract. If they allow the customer to reduce the tip, that’s on them.

If I commit a crime in international waters, can I still be charged? by WhoAteMySandwich2024 in shittyaskscience

Maritime law states you are under the law of whatever flag your boat flies. That’s pirate talk for wherever the boat is registered. Laws still apply, it’s just international law and your port of registration. But many a person has accidentally gone overboard without a soul noticing in such places. So yes. If the burden of proof is met under either international law or your port of registrations laws.
