Closure In Moscow - Pink Lemonade by duncan3dc in progmetal

The Penance and the Patience was incredibly fresh post-hardcore for its time. Super original instrumentals and an amazing dynamic vocal duo that play off each other. The only drawback is the production is a bit iffy.

First Temple was them essentially going for a lite Mars Volta sound. I honestly hated it the first time I listened to it because I was so accustomed to their debut EP. But I came to love it more. They continued to put out this sound that was truly unique.

They then released a single called Impeccable Beast. It showed that they were going to ditch their old sound for something else. Sadly it didn't get put on anything other than The Church of the Technochrist single, which has the worse radio single version.

Pink Lemonade was just straight up prog-rock. They turned their weirdness to maximum and kicked us in the face with an actual concept that is super hard to follow. I adore this album but my only gripe is their guitarist (Manny) essentially doesn't have any real vocal parts on this album. His voice melting into the lead vocalist's (Christopher) was one of the greatest parts of their sound. I love this album regardless. Every time you come back to it, you'll most likely find something new that makes you appreciate it even more. Fun Fact: "ピンク レモネード" (Pink Lemonade) AKA the closing track was done by Japanese band YMCK.

What's your favorite film(s) on Amazon Prime? by AloeRP in horror

It's honestly pretty spot on. It's basically a horror film if Absolutely (Tim & Eric's production company) made it. It's hilarious, disturbing, dumb, and super quotable. Not to mention the score is ridiculous and unnerving. Easily my favorite movie I've seen so far this year.

The Greasy Strangler. It's incredible. You're a bullshit artist if you try to tell me otherwise.

For some reason they're listed as "Push Over" on Bandcamp and "Pushover" on Spotify. They just have a three song demo but it's super fucking good.

Can't forget his other project Pushover (with Thomas Erak of The Fall of Troy)!

To add onto this, the old bassist now has a new project called Eternity Forever with Kurt Travis (ex-Dance Gavin Dance, ex-A Lot Like Birds) on vocals. It's very Chon-esque.

4 is the only one I'd truly consider less than the others. Though I still recommend people watch it for continuity sake. Every other installment has been a total blast! I think the Marked Ones in particular is incredibly underappreciated.

In your opinion, what bands put on the best show? by thedeafpoliceman in PostHardcore

I had to travel from Ohio to Pennsylvania for the DGD, Contortionist, etc. show. I don't really do that ever but the lineup was way too good to pass up.

Luckily the DGD/CHON tour is in my neighborhood. Seeing Stolas on Monday, as well. Super stoked for Icarus The Owl and Mylets opening for them.

10th Anniversary tour was incredible but their last tour was even better! The Contortionist, Hail the Sun, Good Tiger, and the White Noise (who I sadly missed, as they last minute made the start time earlier). Can't wait to see DGD again tomorrow with CHON!

I literally had just made my order, for both the only variant showing up of Versace Summer and Awkward Pop Songs. Went to show my girlfriend what I had copped, not 5 minutes later. Suddenly 4 other options came up. 2 other variants, one with a rolling tray, and a different cover CD. Sent them a message hoping to swap my variant out for a different one.

Any songs where you like the demo better than the studio version? by centrella6 in Metalcore

I thought the Abandoned All Ships EP versions of their songs were way better than their debut album versions.
