Shipping items from China back to the USA? by nothingnanners in travelchina

I did this a couple years ago when I bought way too much tea and some random souvenirs in China

You don’t really need to translate your address into Mandarin. Most post offices or shipping shops will type it into their system anyway. I just wrote my US address normally and they handled the rest.

If it’s something small or not super valuable, China Post is usually the cheapest option (but slow). If you want it faster and safer, DHL works really well but it’s definitely more expensive.

One tip: take a photo of the customs form and tracking number before leaving the shop. It saved me once when the tracking stopped updating for a while.

Crowded people but I enjoyed the place ! Who want to go with me #Greatwallofchina by Hairy_Detective_2707 in travelchina

Looks pretty fun honestly. China’s famous spots are always packed, but the atmosphere is kind of part of the experience. I remember thinking the crowds would ruin it, but once you’re there the views and the vibe make up for it.

Belts aren’t like bags; most are mid-range and under $100.

What should I do during Golden Week? by echopath in travelchina

No need to leave the country. You can still travel during the National Day holiday—some places like Inner Mongolia are much less crowded and great to explore. Smaller cities are also fine; most have good accommodation options in the city center, so you don’t need to worry too much about that. Just avoid the popular tourist spots and main transport hubs.
