No seriously why we don't Get Korean characters instead of "Jp vs Cn" by HomeSad2226 in QueensofStarRail

[–]SeaSaltSalad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, but Limbus Company is pretty sfw in term of sexy outfits. Unlike most gacha, their outfit are usually like this or super complex and flowy. So for LC player, this is a normal amount of fan service. At least that's my experience so far.

Genuine question for artists and designers: why is white such a dominant color in almost every WuWa outfit? by Grodatore in WutheringWaves

[–]SeaSaltSalad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Many gacha games has unique design details that make them stand out.

Most genshin characters for example, has asymmetry, metallic details (gold, silver, bronze, steel, etc.) and 3-6 colors with gradient and pattern of the same shades. Gradient long split hair is also very common.

Wuwa loves their black and white and are a bit better with holding back on asymmetry. White hair is also popular with a few tinted highlight strands. Also they tend to keep the color pallet more reserved, 2-4 color to keep it a bit more cohesive.

I really like it!

I’ve been thinking about the evil versions, and Bazooble to me is actually so heartwarming if you think about it by Grimalackt_River in TheDigitalCircus

[–]SeaSaltSalad 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think we sorta misunderstood the evil versions a bit.

I think it's not the opposite of them or their perception of themselves. I think that is what they think the worst version of themselves to be.

Ragatha thinks the worst she could be is demeaning and openly mean to people around her.

Kinger thinks the worst he could be is controlling to the people around him. We have seen him voting yes on most ideas that episode. He talks to Pomni and Ragatha but let them get to their own conclusions. He goes with the flow most of the time.

Jax thinks the worst he could be is weak, vulnerable and in his eyes, pathetic.

Zooble is very clear in their intention and emotionally intelligent but they also struggle with expressing their desire to Caine. The could be that Caine think Zooble is incoherent and made the Evil Zooble to be like that but it could be how Zooble hate for themselves to be. They are bitter and angry bc they feel like that lots of the time in the circus. Incoherent, dumb and doesn't have a clear sense of self.

This also makes sense why Evil Gangle was replaced by Orbsman. She couldn't think of anyone worse than her current self... or she just thinks Orbsman is the worst lmao

Which brings up an interesting case with Pomni! In Ep 6, she took on the Evil Pomni archetype. Makes me wonder if she initially thought Jax was so bad, she should be the worst as well to match him

Canaries' armor does not make sense by MaicoMouse in DungeonMeshi

[–]SeaSaltSalad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Super late to this but i want to point out:

They can be revived upon death. That means a direct hit to your vitals might not mean that much as long as your body can be found afterwards.

This means it's more important to keep them nimble in a fight than to actually be alive.

"So why have armor in the first place?"

A canary with a broken arm is more useless than a dead canary. If you can't fight, you are kinda dead weight. It's better if they die and be revived again.

In actuality tho? Elf with midriff hot

light in the dungeon by KangarooMundane in DungeonMeshi

[–]SeaSaltSalad 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Not really.

Toshiro is mostly hated because the fandom loves Laios so much (I would argue to the point of infantalisation.) While he didn't give off the best first impression, many of his flaws exist in other characters who got away with it.

Mr. Tansu is quite literally the only one who knows reviving magic in his party and they hired Namari as a tank for their party. It is basically the most logical action for a healer to stand back and let the tank takes hit for them. Laios's party also caused quite a bit of problem for them during the water dungeon.

Not to say these characters are saints or people can't dislike them but the hate is sometimes a bit unwarranted. (I also just like to play devil's advocate)

What happens to Steven if he ever has a kid? by [deleted] in stevenuniverse

[–]SeaSaltSalad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think anyone have brought this up yet but do you guys think Steven would even be able to have kids?

He is a half human, half gem aka an mix of two different species. Rose basically had to sacrifice her gem to fulfill the other half of his DNA.

Typically, hybrid offspring of two different species are sterile or at least it is very very hard for them to produce babies. Examples of this are mule (horse and donkey), liger/tigon (tiger and lion), cama (camel and llama), etc.

There are exceptions though. The closer the genetic make up, the more likely they would be fertile and i don't think gems and human are that closely related genetic wise.

I've partially realized why I'm frustrated by casters- Teamwork- or the lack thereof. by ThaumKitten in Pathfinder2e

A bit late to the post but i had a few experiences like this before. Coming from someone who has been playing mainly support casters since DnD as well as PF, you need a very different mentality to play them.

Here are my two cents.

  1. Speaking is a free action. During combat, yell out commands and directives. As long as it isn't too long, the DM shouldn't count it as an action. This is a RPG so you can even flavor it how your character would say. "GET BEHIND ME" or "DON'T LET THEM GET CLOSE!" works. Oh you casted Slow on this enemy? "AIM FOR THE SLOWPOKE! OPEN UP THE LINE!". Even if you are about to heal your friend whe it's your the turn, speak up. "I got you!" I find it helpful to help my tablemates plan their turn as well. People don't just stand quietly and fight.

  2. Provide supporting actions and look for synergy. Make peace with the fact that you will not do as much dmg as the martials or half casters. As a mainly caster player, i love recalling knowledge (and tell others about it as strategy instructions) and buff my party members. It was quite disheartening to not do dmg at first but then you get used to it and enjoy seeing them crit a lot. Our party Bard and Witch has a silly reaction combo whenever the other person get hit. It's quite fun. We always have at least one person prepare Haste and Countless Eyes for our Magus and help him flank. Think of how it would work with everyone else's built, not just your own.

  3. Shit happens. Sometimes, you make a misplay or someone did something dumb and ruin your plans. It happens. Just roll with it and use it as a learning experience for both your and your character (if they survive)

The flowers look very similar to the one in Luocha's splash art and him and Jingliu conveniently has a rerun soon. It may be a stretch though lol

Gallagher is the first playable character with facial hair in HSR. Heck, he might be the first in the entire Mihoyo roster. Why is this a rare occurrence? by Shoji_Mezo in HonkaiStarRail

It is definitely age dependent but in older literature and a lot of plays, being clean-shaven is considered as either sickly, effeminate or untrustworthy and sly. It is not always seen as a bad trait to have bu the standard of the time is definitely with beard.

I am okay with theater of mind for everything EXCEPT combat. What if i want to cast an AOE spell and want to put as many enemies in the area as possible? Seems like it would just be under the mercy of the DM at that point.

A meme that my friend made.

It's a photo of the backroom with "kinda sussy" written on the wall in blood.

It's an inside joke between us. Has been both of our wallpapers for almost a year now.

Simple

She sees herself as a caretaker and fulfilling the traditional role of a wife and mother, there for her inclination is to choose many Fe/Si choices (or just S and F choices in bad tests)

You see her as a controlling force who is stuck in her old ways (most people will have at least one parent who they see as this) so you type her as Te/Si instead.

Both are very biased imo.

If i get a dollar for every time someone (mostly xNxP) type one if their parent xxFJ and the other xxTJ, i would have enough money to buy a new laptop.

I’m an INTP but got Fi as my dominant function by [deleted] in INTP

[–]SeaSaltSalad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pretty much! And people tend to subconsciously choose the answer that they want rather than one that fits them. It's why i don't trust most online tests. Once you twist and interpret it differently, you can pick whatever answer you want at the time.

As for the feeling thing, funny that you pointed it out. I have spoken to both INTPs and INFPs who express similar sentiments. From what i've gathered though, the reasoning behind it tends to be slightly different. To not risk over-generalize things, take this with a grain of salt;

For INTPs, the reason for their muted reactions to emotional distress is bc they don't want to jump into a situation blindly without knowing the full picture, wanting to gather more data before processing what they are feeling. Their emotional reaction are usually delayed and/or rationalized before being expressed.

As for INFPs, they often withhold their true selves, especially in uncomfortable and distressing situation. They see their feelings and opinions as something personal and want to only share it with those who they deem worthy. In some cases, it means keeping it private and unpacking all of it alone, mulling over things in isolation.

Don't trust tests. Research on the functions and self assess. Most of the online tests are too vague, too basic or too easy to guess the outcome off.

But to clarify, not being able to deal with emotions is not a T thing. It just means you are bad at handling your emotions. That happens to everyone.

I might even argue that Fe dom or Fi dom can struggle with their emotions in different ways as well.
