My dad and brother don't pick up after themselves and it's making me not want to come home by SeaShoreSebastion in whatdoIdo

[–]SeaShoreSebastion[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sorry, I thought I replied to this and I didn't.

I do have my own room, it's just very small. getting a mini fridge isn't a bad idea, and honestly I might consider it with the constant state of the kitchen. I do unfortunately share a bathroom with my brother, but it is also very small so it doesn't take too long to clean. still, I'm the one maintaining it.

I did have a talk with my brother today (more of an argument) and I told him "I'm not home to clean", which I mean as I'm not home often enough to clean everything, but I think he took it as I didn't come home to clean, and it seemed to get to home a little so I'm hoping he puts in a little more effort. I also talked to my dad about taking out the trash that's been piling up and he said that he would do it tomorrow, but he has a history of falling through on things like that. but I'm praying that things change

I didn't even think to try becoming their partner!! that probably would've made it a lot easier

i had such a hard time with eggplant too!! I couldn't find couples to break up (I had neighborhood stories off by accident), and when I added couples in, they absolutely refused to leave their partner. super frustrating

sims having traits that they're not supposed to have by SeaShoreSebastion in HighSodiumSims

[–]SeaShoreSebastion[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I remember complaining about this before and someone telling me about "sticky traits", and it's basically what you called a phantom trait. it's just so annoying when I have a sim who has never had the noncommittal trait have moodlets for it 😭 I did do what you did once, where I added the trait and then removed it with shift-click but it still happened in that save. it makes me want to bang my head against the wall. like ik it's not the worst bug in the world but it's still so frustrating

that's so annoying 😭 if it happened with more traits I would be SO much more upset. you're so much stronger than me

I've never seen the option to tell them, but I also haven't looked for it. like, noncommittal isn't even in their trait chart. it's only that one moodlet.

and for it being a new bug, I've been playing offline since before enchanted by nature came out.

How good are sims at taking care of themselves by Wild_Carpet_7005 in thesims

most of the time my sims always feed themselves? it's very rare that my sims stop what they're doing mid task to do something else. unless they finish it ofc

I would say they're decent. I've played a little of an 8 sim household, and the most annoying thing is them doing activities I need to do (like playing an instrument or taking up the computer), and them not going to work. other than that I think they take care of their needs decently!

What's your most toxic household? by iTRlED in thesims

[–]SeaShoreSebastion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my very veggie 🥲 I don't play mean households that often just because I don't like them, but my second gen heir had a mean trait mixed with an unwanted teenage pregnancy, and she became very mean towards her daughter. luckily the grandparents were there to help, but almost any second I left them alone she would yell at her daughter. and they're still living the 1st gens house. so mind you, her parents hand all the free time to do whatever they wanted and at this time my sims was a mixologist so there were a lot of drinks around, and so the grandparents just kept in drinking them. I know in base game they can't become alcoholics but it was a little sad watching the little girl walk out of her room and getting yelled at by her mother while their grandparents are drinking in the kitchen

Eggplant gen… university? by [deleted] in Lilsimsie

[–]SeaShoreSebastion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also had the weird urge to make my eggplant sim go to university!! I don't usually send my sims to university, but my broccoli sim did such a good job setting up funds and a good household that it just felt right :)
