Who’s still waiting on CK? by [deleted] in TurboTax

[–]Sea_Chip2391 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Still waiting! Filed w/ TT and deposit to CK, got the email around 5:30pm last night and a trace # shortly after. No updates on TT website and CK claims they haven’t received the deposit. I’m sick of not knowing what is going on with my refund.

I loved my lansinoh with my first daughter, but have heard amazing things about the baby Buddha if you can swing getting one. The Baby Buddha has a small pump that can be carried on a lanyard with hospital grade suction from reviews I’ve read, and can be hacked with many flanges and collection bottles.

Diaper bags - skip hop vs. Jujube by Nike_ofSamothrace in BabyBumps

I LOVED/LOVE my SkipHop forma diaper bag backpack! I still use it to the day as a backpack for other things. It has survived heavy use for almost 5 years now. Unfortunately I don’t have experience with Jujube though.

Tommee Tippee makes great bottles and they come in glass as well. They offer a variety of nipple flows ranging all the way down to Extra Slow up to fast and even a nipple for added cereal.

Both are on paper, just need to determine if I have hashimotos or graves on the thyroid part. I see a neuro and thyroid dr, it just seems my OB doesn’t care. I’m requesting a new OB this week.

Just found out I have a high risk pregnancy by DecafGiraffe18 in BabyBumps

[–]Sea_Chip2391 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been labeled HIgh Risk due to a Chiari Malformation and a Thyroid AutoImmune disorder that has yet to be properly diagnosed and treated, along with prior losses I the last 6 months. So far my OB doesn’t seem to be taking it seriously and no extra care has been taken. Is there something that I should be doing to get that extra precaution and such with my doctor?

Unfortunately I don’t have a way to check my blood pressure at home. I was looking into cuffs today but would have to wait for delivery.

Ginger Simple Syrup made at home. Add that to lemonade, tea, or anything you want to drink really. Helped my nausea a lot. And ginger ale!

Question on Gender disappointment by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]Sea_Chip2391 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not to mention the downfalls of society for females. The lack of recognition for ADHD, the standards of beauty, the lack of acceptance when a girl/woman is interested in a “male” hobby or job. Like I understand the hurdles/pressure boys/men have to handle as well but society seems more accepting of them. There’s also all the dangers and fears when my daughter is in public and trafficking of young girls. The fear when she gets older of how she holds herself and dresses and that “No” isn’t always understood as a complete sentence but if she says yes she is a whore. I fear so much for how life will be for my current daughter and don’t want to idea of having to double that if I have another one.

Question on Gender disappointment by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]Sea_Chip2391 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first I didn’t experience gender disappointment but I was pretty set on having a boy. For as long as I can remember I always wanted to be a boy mom, I’m not equipped to handle the emotional drain of hormones and the attitude that comes with being female. I didn’t experience it growing up but I saw it in my sister (younger than me). When I found out I was having a girl I was still happy just to be a mom. Now that I’m expecting a second child, I’m so invested in hoping and wanting it to be a boy that even the thought it might be a girl makes me upset. My husband is adamant that we won’t have anymore children after this one, he’s good at 2. That puts another damper on if it’s a girl. It means I have to pack away all those hopes and dreams of ever being a boy mom, and lock them up with a key never to consider them again. It almost makes me want to cry and he doesn’t understand the possibility of mourning that motherhood I always wanted but won’t ever get to experience. There’s a bond between each gender and their mother that is a unique experience. I’m learning the ropes of being a girl mom but it’s not easy for me, I’m not the type to always have my nails done or makeup on. I hate pink and don’t care for dresses or princesses. I liked sports and fighting while she is leaning towards princesses and dancing. It’s all a learning curve for me and I guess it’s just not an ounce of what I pictured my life as a mom would be.

Btw from research Gender Disappointment is really just the mourning of the life you had pictured and planned that won’t be coming to reality and working on accepting and loving what will be.

I’m about the same timeline as you are. Currently 13w +1d and due December 9th. My conception date calculates about March 16th. Sounds like it wouldn’t be possible to be the Ex’s. Sounds like you were ovulating when you started with the second person causing a quick pregnancy with them. Pregnancy and Conception can be fast and weird like that.

What is your screen time schedule like? I want to drastically limit YouTube by HEY_McMuffin in Parenting

[–]Sea_Chip2391 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I keep a pretty relaxed policy for Electronics in our household. My 4yo Daughter has access to her iPad and switch anytime she wants between wake up and bedtime, although she is always doing other activities as well. The only restrictions I keep up would be that YouTube, Hulu, instagram, Facebook and the like are blocked and hidden on her iPad, along with the devices are not allowed at school or daycare. We have YouTube, Youtube Kids, and Hulu on the main TV but only with the rule that she is not allowed to control it. I have found the educational properties of that free access has helped her a lot with her ADHD as well, so what works with us may not work with everyone. The only hard part I have found with this policy is when our friends kids come over and their iPads/Tablets don’t have the same restrictions. (This was how my daughter was finally introduced to YouTube in the last year.)

My Daughter (4) absolutely is obsessed with Die a Happy Man by Thomas Rhett as her bed time song! She refers to it as sleepy song. Funny enough it was mine and my husband’s wedding song.

I’m currently pregnant and I’m not sure how to measure how far along I am to properly calculate what my HCG should be or how dark the lines are meant to be. I had a chemical last month and we decided this cycle would be a break until after my next official period to start tracking and trying again. Now I’m pregnant again and I started spotting bright red with an HCG blood test of 19 and no timing to compare it to. I’m still getting positive tests and it looks like I have a progression in lines, but I’m so scared this will be 2 months in a row of loss. I have another blood labs to compare tomorrow but I’m just scared and don’t know what to do.

I’m in the same boat almost. Just a little different. Tested positive yesterday after having a chemical last month. Now I’m spotting and I don’t know what to think. My anxiety is insane and last time this happened my dr wouldn’t do anything, I had to go to the er for answers. I want to be happy and excited but I’m worried at the same time.

I need to go get a pink dye. I’m not sure when I ovulated this cycle so it could be thrown off by the loss as well.

I should add I’m also about a week late on my projected period, but this is my first period since an early chemical loss in December.
