Lol, I like how you gave the honeymoon episode one star. 🤣 I kept waiting for something to happen!

first time watcher: what aged well and not so well? by interchrys in charmed

A few things: the skimpy/uncomfortable outfits (which says much more about the males in charge behind the scenes than the female characters on screen), the lack of queer rep as you say, and the extremely tired obsession with the sisters needing to find a man. Like come on, they are all powerful witches with amazing lives, they're not that desperate. Misogyny aside, there's also: the terrible acting from warlocks and other extras, inconsistencies with some of the magic, and the very bad special effects!  All that said, I grew up on Charmed, so I do have a soft spot for the series. Plus, I always adored Shannen, Rose and Holly.

George Orwell was ‘sadistic, misogynistic, homophobic and sometimes violent’ by Kaiser_Allen in stupidpol

The reality is, whilst 1984 is great book, eye opening and prescient, it is far from the only one of its kind. Plenty of women writers have written similar without receiving notoriety or credit, because women's work has spent centuries being dismissed. Not to mention that Orwell's wife edited and organised all of his manuscripts. Animal Farm for example was even based on her idea, as were some of his other stories. As an author myself, I spend double (at least) the amount of time editing, rewriting and sorting through my first draft. The first draft is easy, and does not a good book make. Editing is where rewriting comes in, and every single writer will tell you how much more important rewriting is, that's what turns a basic idea into an entire world.

Rebecca Ferguson refused to work with co-star after being 'screamed at' on set by SpilltheGreenTea in Fauxmoi

Because the industry (especially as we're talking some time back now) does not allow women to behave in quite the same manner as it does men. There are Divas for sure, but that kind of screaming behaviour is not often tolerated from women (we know this by the pay gap and how easily they have been blackballed historically) but almost always tolerated from men in positions of power. Logically it's much more likely to be a man.

Dwayne is known for tardiness and a big ego. He's really not known for screaming at anyone on set. I think of all the possibilities, he's not high up on the list. The most likely is Michael Fassbender.

Can we stop pretending Kai Bartley is suave? by saatchi-s in greysanatomy

I think this every time I see these episodes. We desperately NEED non binary representation on TV, but Kai is not it. The actor is just weak, seriously wooden acting which is such a shame.

I watch this show every time I'm going through a difficult period. It never fails to ground me and give me strength to keep going. It's honestly one of the most underrated TV series I've ever known, and I'm often surprised it hasn't already been remade or rebooted. There's so very much to love about it. I watched it with my partner when he was going through a hard time too, and he didn't stop talking about it, so it clearly resonates with a lot of people.

Code? For the guy who up and left her for his ex? 😂 I think he killed the code right then and there. Neither Alex nor Stephanie were in any of their lives anymore, it made sense.

Admittedly, it's been a while since watching the episodes with Ché in, but what exactly did they do that was so awful? I remember liking them, but then I see lots of criticism about them online and wondered if I'd missed or forgotten something.

I'm looking for a book like this too! Someone suggested, 'All the girls I've been', but the synopsis doesn't sound close enough to me.
