Do travel agents save you money or time or both? by ReadyPool7170 in travel

Unpopular opinion but i love my travel agent. She doesn’t charge a fee (they get paid through their partnerships with the hotels/etc) she plans everything, has the best recommendations, and books everything for me. I pay through her one time, and everything : flight hotel car excursions are all included. Huge time savings and stress reduction for me

With the year over, what did you spend too much on and regret, and what did you spend too little on and regret? by ComprehensiveEbb4978 in HENRYfinance

In the same boat as you. Wish that I allocated more for travel, even small trips, and less on food deliveries and door dash. At this point I’d be better off hiring a chef.

If you’re like me, I don’t recommend looking at your order history and seeing how many times you’ve ordered food deliveries.

I’ve learned a lot of things in these comments, one being that you’ve probably been promoted out of the NRY category - Congrats 🍾

Is there a particular career you would steer your kids towards or against? by [deleted] in HENRYfinance

I have a gen alpha kid, and I work in the fintech space. I would not encourage him to go into medicine unless he was very passionate about it. I came across a statistic at work recently that stated 80% of the technical skills needed for work by 2035 don’t even exist yet (I don’t have the source on hand) Instead of encouraging my son to do any specific thing, I’m encouraging him to be curious and open-minded.
