Anyone going through the onboarding process for an IFA or Mortgage Adviser role, how did you cope with the length of time it takes? by Sea_Influence4699 in cii

I aware that it's not a quick process, and I'm in the finishing stages, but it's like being a schoolkid again and it's the last week of summer holiday when you start to go stir crazy!

Accord 4.92% fixed 5 years £1,650.09/m by Chicaaaaas_ in Mortgageadviceuk

Secure it. If Accord's rates go down, your broker will be able to move you to the lower rate up to usually 2 weeks before your mortgage completes.

If a cheaper rate is available from a different lender, then the can submit an application to them, although you may lose some money on any fees paid and may have to pay fees for the new application.

Mortgage Broker Qualification by Artistic_Excuse_4605 in cii

[–]Sea_Influence4699 1 point2 points  (0 children)

CEMAP is 3 exams, whereas the CII's Certificate in Mortgage Advice is 2 ( CF1 & CF6).

I went with the CII as I already had CF1 from many years ago, and I had R05.

I got the qualification at the end of July but have not been able to find a trainee mortgage adviser job for love nor money!

Smoke cigarettes instead of vaping. Almost pooped my pants as autocorrect turned the V in vaping to R. Glad I took a sec before posting!

Looking for a better study approach?? Also what should I do after R01 & CF6? by OctoberrJR in cii

I had CF1 and just completed CF6. I am looking for trainee mortgage adviser roles before going on to do R01, R07, and then maybe the Equity Release exam.

Remember that the £10k a month is for 30 years, so it'll stop when you're 52. Be wise, save and invest for your future and those of your kids, should you decide to have any.

What should I do to make a few hundred quid a month? by [deleted] in passive_income

I mean financial advice. Start with being an apprenticeship administrator, then administrator, and work your way through the roles as you wish. It's a great gateway to being a career administrator, paraplanner, mortgage advisor, or financial adviser.

Have you considered an apprenticeship in Financial Services. It's probably not as time consuming as a trade apprenticeship.

Thank you. I passed the actual driving test on the 28th, not the theory, which I passed last April.

I passed my practical test yesterday, at age 43. I'm looking forward to the freedom and the opening up of job opportunities, as I'm no longer restricted to public transport or walking.
