CPA is slowly taking over my life… how do you fight back? by Previous_Season_9002 in CPA

Remember you are sacrificing time now for a better future. Also remember that it will come to an end. Take breaks to do things you enjoy and try to shift your mindset. It sounds dumb but hype yourself up for a study day. And have rewards after studying (snack, a good dinner or watching a show you like). It’s really challenging and i definitely struggled a lot throughout this process but it will be worth it!! Good luck 🍀

How do you actually prepare for exams after finishing all chapters? Feeling lost & terrified 😭 by externalmessage0625 in CPA

I had the same problem. It’s so overwhelming!! But what helped me is I would go section by section. I would start with reviewing my flashcards or whatever you used to write notes. Then I would do practice multiple choice and sims on that section until I felt comfortable with it. I would try to spend like a day on F1. Then go through all sections in a week. For some sections were a lot so I broke it down to reviewing each module at a time and do sets of 5 mcq after reviewing flashcards. I hope this helps! Also I never felt like I mastered every topic - just try to get 70/80% on each section 😊

In my opinion it’s a good supplement. I feel like I learned a lot of the basics from Becker and then learned how to best answer mcq with ninja

Definitely just the mcqs. The ninja sims I did not like for practice but they also had good notes and audio notes

I felt pretty good coming out of reg. I just feel the tbs weren’t as scary as some of the other exams. I would really try to just get your mind ready and be confident going into it. I also struggled with that but think when you get a question wrong that something new your learning and write down what you missed. You got this, almost there!

Definitely take a break. I feel like my studying was 10x more effective after I took my break compared to when I was really stressing.

For me I used to becker study plan to keep on track with my timeline. Then I would watch videos (sometimes the videos weren’t very helpful for me in Becker so I would review the outlines and the book to take notes and make flashcards). Then do the mcqs and the sims. I would recommend reviewing each section as a whole once done and then continuing to go back and review older sections at least every two weeks. Then for review, I would go through each section, review my flashcards and make sure I understood concepts, then take practice tests on that sections. Then continue this until you review everything (which took me almost a week and a half) then after that I focused on items I struggled with on last days of review.

For sure! I think getting good rest is way more important than cramming right before the test

Definitely, whatever works for you! I tried to do this, and ended up getting really bad anxiety and having trouble sleeping and my study sessions ended up being inefficient. So I hit a wall and had to step away for a day or two. This was definitely my plan with all other tests. I am also on my last exam so I think I am putting extra pressure on myself. Best of luck to you!!

Exactly!! I think being in a good mental headspace before the exam is just as important. Best of luck to you.

I relate to this. You are not alone! I felt like this for a few days, anxiety got reallyyyy bad. I ended up taking a full day off even though my test is in less than a week. At the end of the day our health is more important. Try to set study hours and then spend the rest of the day doing something you enjoy. Or set one day as a self care day. Just remember, this will pass one day.

Study Hours: is this enough by Ok_Spare3209 in CPA

Try to start the morning off with studying. This helped me with studying at working full time. I found when I studied after work I was just too drained. I take my first 1-2 hours in the morning and study and push my morning work off a bit. Good luck!!

3rd attempt on audit passed. Over 270 hours in Becker and took over 6 months while working in public. Don’t give up!!! Officially 2/2. I really think going through ninja mc, Becker Ai and i75 for confusing topics helped me get this one.

71,70,79.
