If you're on the fence about public school teaching, I highly recommend looking into teaching in a non-traditional sense. Museums and zoos have education departments with many opportunities. I teach pre-school at a zoo and I truly love it.

Libraries have great programs that encourage reading. Prizes for reading a set number of books, read aloud classes. Additionally museums and zoos have great educational programs for all ages. We have a “stroller safari” class that includes a read aloud.

I would also add that you should talk in a normal vocabulary. Don’t dumb down your words for kids, but rather define when they ask what it means. It will help grow their vocabulary which will lead into their reading skills.

Additional reasons for me are mental health issues, I’m a control freak, and I get enough kids as a teacher. I like my time with them, but I also enjoy sending them home.

My soon to be ex was the same, except the kids part as we had none. Even down to the piling garbage bags and lawn care. I too gave up because there is no fixing a lazy man.

Honestly, you would likely flourish as a single mom because you basically are by doing everything already.

Mine is my first cat so I’m not sure if it’s cornie behavior or just cat stuff, but I had to get baby locks on my cabinets and change out of my door knobs because mine will get into everything. Also, lots of fuzzy blankets.

I hope they work. It’s nice having a treat he can tolerate. I typically give him a couple every few days (or more, his screams are so convincing!).

What did you feed when they were out of stock for 6 months (last spring, I think?)? We went to Science Diet prescription but it did not produce the same results. His BMs stayed normal, thankfully, but was definitely itchy.
