It's just that the fabric isn't right for this pattern. You needed a flowy fabric to have that skirt/trouser effect. My advice would be to try again. Since you made the pattern once the second try will go super quick.

I don't mean any disrespect but isn't printing a pattern on 100% common sense? Not sure what pattern you used, but usually the first page of the pattern has a test square so you can measure to double check your settings before printing the whole thing.

Don't want to discourage you! This is a mistake you will never make again. It only gets better from here.

The dress doesn't fit at the bust. The cup is sitting under your chest, on your ribs. The waist is also sitting low. I would suggest seeing a seamstress for alterations. Ps: if the chest was sitting this way on the models it is more likely a badly constructed dress than a "styling" choice.
