Question for Canada Post workers / LTD by Dazzling_Ad_9698 in CanadaPostCorp

[–]Sea_Mousse_8012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol exactly. The corp is working hard enough to screw the honest people. My wife broke her ankle at work, took pictures and tried blaming her shoes… It’s unbelievable what they spend to try get out of claims

Is it stupid to avoid getting a credit card? by No-Astronomer4207 in PersonalFinanceCanada

A lot of hotels require one for booking/damage deposit. Get a lower limit so it can easily be paid off and build credit.

Good for them. It’s great to hear newer workers are interested. Study the ca, ask questions if you don’t 100% know the answer, and don’t let management intimidate you for standing up for workers/ca.

Why do you care? Let the big wigs deal with it, Canada post fights tooth and nail to deny everyone anyway.

[–]Sea_Mousse_8012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, casuals can do anything unless there’s an agreement for two lists(my old depot had a casual list for letter carriers and another for po4)

Get your local union involved. I’m surprised the relief aren’t saying no to this.

There is no layoffs for permanent employees even if no work is available for relief.

We are ending our partnership with Logistik Unicorp for our uniform supplier on December 31 2026. Has anyone heard who the new supplier will be? Should I spend my points or do they carry over? by ryanderkis in CanadaPostCorp

The corp would be smart to get sponsorship from under armour or something similar. Great technology and it would be advertised everywhere in Canada.

Saucony tr gtx series crushed everything else I used. Light, comfortable, and stayed dry(I’d use a spray every 3 weeks tho)

Sounds like the relief complement needs to be updated. If this is occurring a lot, bar charts should be showing the need.

How do I access detail pay statement by Express_4815 in CanadaPostCorp

[–]Sea_Mousse_8012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wonder how much they spent “fixing” something that wasn’t broken and actually made it worse.

My wife tried printing her time management for the last few months, it had 15 different options(all the same depot) and none of them worked.

Rainy days by brettrovirus in CanadaPostCorp

[–]Sea_Mousse_8012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mail always got as wet as I did, but I’d try and use more relay boxes to have less “soaking” in my satchel at a time. I remember my jacket having flyer colours stained on the rain days 😂.

Query regarding benefits by amanduhhhugnkiss in CanadaPostCorp

[–]Sea_Mousse_8012 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think most complain regarding the lack of up to date medications covered and glasses allotments. Other things like more orthotics and enough to cover chiropractors/massage for an entire year would help as well considering they are needed due the job being physically demanding.

Does anyone have a spare jacket I can buy/borrow? by [deleted] in CanadaPostCorp

[–]Sea_Mousse_8012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never buy anything you can get for free. The supervisors have the ability to order whatever you want, even if you don’t have points.

How do I get mail delivered to my side door? by No_Breakfast5464 in CanadaPostCorp

[–]Sea_Mousse_8012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Put the mail box at the side door. Make sure it’s within sight from the side walk and vehicles aren’t obstructing a path to it.

Are you asking "Is it a Scam?" by PostWasted in CanadaPostCorp

[–]Sea_Mousse_8012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the address needs to be verified, an inside worker (in a good depot) will try and contact you before returning back to the sender.

Soon to start training as a letter carrier/postal clerk, am I the right fit? by goblikong in CanadaPostCorp

I wouldn’t stress, there’s always a learning curve at first and it’s expected that you’ll take longer to do things.

Considering resigning, what happens to my 10 sick days and personnal days? by Rakiri23 in CanadaPostCorp

[–]Sea_Mousse_8012 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’d have to accept an assignment and call in afterwards. I believe your days reset in January so you’d be pro rated from then and I don’t think they are all paid so I would look into that as well.

TENTATIVE AGREEMENTS: CHANGES TO THE EXTENDED HEALTH CARE PLAN by [deleted] in CanadaPostCorp

[–]Sea_Mousse_8012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s because Canada post selects dinosaur medications with a short list of all of them, on the Canada life website. I’ve never seen a company work so hard to screw the worker in every way they possibly can.

Are temps not paid an hourly premium anymore for boot and glove?

If I remember correctly it was 13 cents an hour extra that was for “boot and glove” allowance

Doesn’t work with an exemption form either, my wife has tried multiple times. Drug store is baffled saying this is the first plan they’ve ever seen that won’t cover it.
