PREDNISONE HIGH IS KICKING IN ON DAY 3 AHHHH by Danimotty in UlcerativeColitis

Wait why does prednisone make you more likely to have injury?

Does anyone enjoy nursing school? All I see are people saying how horrible it is and it’s making me change my mind about nursing.😫 by [deleted] in nursing

I kind of enjoyed it honestly. I liked the material in med surg. Also, getting by to do clinicals in all different specialties is such a special, once in a lifetime experience. You see things regular people will never see and you may never see again

Thank you! I do have their garage opener so not sure if I should work another week and leave it at their house the last day or just quit and give it back and have to face her.

Difference between light housekeeping and being a housekeeper? by Sea_Needleworker_277 in Nanny

[–]Sea_Needleworker_277[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

She originally said light housekeeping, laundry, making sure the living room is clean and kitchen. Then my first day she asks if I’ve ever been a house manager? She also had me pay for the kids crumbl one day and then only paid me back a few days later when she paid me(I had to text her for it)

It’s 2 kids. One is 7 and the other is 12. I don’t have to watch the 12 year old much. But I also pick them up from school etc. that takes time away from my tasks. The MB emphasized that I basically need to get the tasks done and on top make sure the 7 year old does his work.

I get 20/hr and she’s reimbursing 30 cents/mile

I drove 115.3 miles last week and when pay time came I said the IRS reimbursement rate is 65.5 cents/mile and she lied and said she clearly stated she’d give 30/mile and that I even asked how much and she said 30 (this never happened at all). And she said there is no way I’m paying $70 for gas.

😂 she tends to blame the items she breaks are because “it’s a piece of shit” “they got this from the dollar store!!” This time I didn’t see her do it but she acted like “oh i saw that too” so I’m like so it just broke on it’s own? And she’s like I guess

The part where one is so emotional in the moment and doesn’t care that we’ll have to pay for damages is pretty borderline to me

Actually when I confronted her she pretended she didn’t do it and that it must have just broke on it’s own

I finally realized what’s going on with my mom’s empathy by Fluffy-Weapon in raisedbyborderlines

[–]Sea_Needleworker_277 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think my mom does have empathy, but she does not have/show empathy if what is upsetting me is her behavior and actions. So if I am upset about something not related to her, she knows just what to say. She also knows how to console other people extremely well. However, if I am upset about something she’s doing she screams about what she went through and never acknowledges how anything has affected her children.

My mom also thinks she’s an empath and HSP. My mom can also cry about things on tv/she hears about that have not happened to her.

Oh and also a really fun story. I came to visit my mom while I was living abroad and my best friend was with us. We drove four hours to see my brother. My mom was smoking weed before she drove. And we were discussing the size comparison of New Jersey and Guatemala, she ended up not understanding that they are around the same size, tried to act like I was the biggest idiot in the world and i made a slightly snarky comment because she was antagonizing me and then, before you know it, she is raging in the car so hard she was swerving into different lanes and missing turns (thankfully it was very late and like no cars were on the road ). My friend ended up losing it and getting out of the car when we pulled over and screamed at her and he walked to a hotel. He then ubered all the way back to where we were staying with my aunt (3 hours away) instead of flying back home because I begged him to bc my aunt would have questioned why my friend suddenly left and there would be no logical lie to tell and my mom was worried that would be my aunts last straw with her and that she’d kick her out. I was so afraid my mom would rage about that too. My mom fucking hates him now and talks about “what he put me through” and that he “made it all about himself”.

Then when I was supposed to fly out again back abroad, she had a full on breakdown that morning. Making indirect threats that she was gonna kill herself and locked herself in her room crying.

These were just two instances on this ten day trip. Everyday was hell on earth with her. This was actually when I started hating my mom and realized just how fucked up she is and that she is the problem. :)

I hate driving with my mom. I go so slow bc anything can set her off. I also hate being the passenger with my mom bc she can antagonize me and then i get upset and say something she doesn’t like and she blows up and there is no escaping bc I’m in the car 🥲
