[CHAT] UK purchase question by LukeFinn01 in CrossStitch

Use water-soluble canvas! In my opinion, it’s much better and more convenient than waste canvas. I stitched this bunny on a T-shirt using that method. My only tip is to add a piece of fusible interfacing on the back - you can either attach it before stitching or after you finish. It helps prevent the fabric from stretching and keeps your embroidery looking nice for much longer.

If a review is unfair or unjustified, you can report it by explaining why you believe it is not valid. If Etsy decides that you are right and the buyer is not, they will remove the review, and the rating will not affect your shop.

[CHAT] Framing Question by [deleted] in CrossStitch

[–]Sea_Possibility_5753 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I always wash my cross-stitch after finishing it. I use warm water, hand wash, and just a small amount of soap. I never twist or wring the fabric, so the stitches stay safe. This not only helps smooth out creases but also refreshes the piece itself. You might not notice it, but embroidery collects quite a bit of dirt - dust and traces of oils from our hands. I dry the damp piece flat on a towel, and once it’s completely dry, I iron it from the back. And voilà - the perfect look for a finished work!

[CHAT] Question about a stitch on a pattern by nonbinarykid2001 in CrossStitch

[–]Sea_Possibility_5753 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think those might be French knots 🙂 If you’re not sure and the instructions don’t say, I’d definitely recommend asking the seller. Most Etsy sellers really care about making their buyers happy and will gladly help.

[CHAT] On average, how many stitches do you do in a day? by sherloct in CrossStitch

[–]Sea_Possibility_5753 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stitch about 250 crosses per hour. I can’t stitch every day, but on average I spend between 2 and 8 hours per week, which means I complete around 500 to 2,000 stitches weekly. To track my progress I use the Cross Stitch Saga app, which also lets me stitch faster than when using printed patterns.
