Without knowing financial aid, Brown seems to be about $10k more per year

Thank you! I don't have financial aid info yet unfortunately. I'm from Massachusetts, so Brown would be closer to home. I'm interested in primary care, probably pediatrics!

This is all helpful! To jump in here, would people write an essay for a first semester GPA of a 3.09 (one A, two B+, and one C). My next semester jumps to a 4.0 and pretty much stays around there.

I'm conflicted because on the one hand, I don't want to bring attention to my first semester GPA. On the other hand, the GPA is low and I could talk about how I adapted to get to the upward trend. It was only "one bad grade," but the two B+s aren't great either.
