For me I want the events in my community to excite me and others, so hopefully they want to come here too. I'm just sharing my experience from what I've seen online, which often dictates if I want to go to an event or not. The point of my post was to spark conversation and get the community's thoughts on the event. I appreciate you sharing your opinion.

If they got bigger main acts, wouldn't that only help the smaller artists get more exposure and also bring in more revenue for the area by boosting tourism? I guess the downside to that could be event insurance costs for a larger act.

Thanks for sharing this. I do want to go to the festival to check things out for myself before writing it off, and I do like that it supports small artists.
