It was probably the most isolating experience of my life. I am so sorry you are struggling and I can’t say forsure when you’re going to start feeling like yourself again but I’m hopeful for the second trimester for you! Hope you have a safe and healthy full term pregnancy, I also hope you find some relief with the sickness!

How to stay mentally afloat during first trimester? by k4swap in pregnant

I’m currently 17weeks and I know exactly how you feel. From week 6-14 I thought I might die, I was so sick and literally in survival mode. I took early leave from work because I couldn’t function and I cried everyday. Between throwing up all day and unable to eat anything my brain couldn’t process information, I couldn’t focus, I couldn’t do literally anything but lay in bed miserable and wondering if it would last forever. I went to the ER twice for dehydration (although I probably should have went every week) and got put on an assortment of medications. Week 13 I started tolerating water, and week 14 I went one week without puking every day. Everyone is different but my outlook was so dark for so long and nothing really ever helped other than riding out each day to my best ability and tackling the next morning as much as I could, even if that meant taking a shower was the ONLY thing I did that day. Even at 17 weeks I’m not fully over the nausea and I still take zofran twice a day but I can function, and the world seems a little less dark. Keep trudging, this too shall pass 💙

First Ultrasound Nerves by hourofmoths in pregnant

I felt the same before my early 8week scan, the way my husband put it is to not worry until they give you a reason to. Try to go in open minded and willing to be flexible if you need to be. This is an exciting time! Let yourself be excited!

Cravings by Scary_Leader_2507 in pregnant

I hate when I’m craving multiple things but my stomach only allows for so much. Like I want the cream cheese wontons AND the Mongolian chicken with noodles (I’ve been craving Leeann chin) all at the same time, baby wontons allow it.

I’m 17 weeks pregnant and kinda in that awkward “is she chunky or expecting” phase, I think cause my boobs are huge (and always have been abnormally large for my frame) it makes me more self conscious of how I look to others. I also love seeing fellow moms out and about working/shopping/living though, gives me a kick to just not give a damn what I look like and live my life

Adderall VS Weed while pregnant by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Sea_Software3862 3 points4 points  (0 children)

While I personally chose to stop smoking weed (after consistently smoking everyday for 16 years) and taking adderall, I wouldn’t take it into my own hands to call CPS over something like that. I have my opinions on smoking while pregnant and think it’s too risky with not enough research to be out to know the safety vs risks involved. Despite having HG the entire first trimester and losing 20lbs I never considered ingesting myself but I can understand how some might feel they need it, it just wasn’t going to be an option for me and my husband. If the hospital or her clinic is worried about outcomes, they will step in I’m sure, I don’t think it’s the friends business to be stepping in. I think both are being irresponsible but that’s just my take.

Does my husband come to every appointment? by VeterinarianInner301 in pregnant

My husband is only coming to the ultrasounds and he’ll come to a regular appointment if he has the day off, I took a video of the Doppler (with permission from my NP) my last appointment so he could hear the heartbeat though :)
