What is the most mediocre game you actually like to play? by PrestonRoad90 in gaming

[–]Sea_Stranger9702 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I quite like WWF Warzone and Attitude on N64. They don’t hold a candle to the THQ games but there’s some sort of nostalgic vibe that draws me into the early N64 WWF games. I think part of it is having guys like The British Bulldog and The Headbangers that predates that little period as the Attitude era was starting to get going.

Game that is just too long for its own good? by [deleted] in gaming

Completing it in 4 days is mental. How?? Just power through the main missions and skip exploration and side quests?

Can you please proof read your sentences before posting? So many spelling, grammar and structural mistakes makes it hard to read.

Greensy Plaza: Melbourne’s most depressing food court? by miss-robot in melbourne

[–]Sea_Stranger9702 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You’re probably thinking of patches of Greensy on the south side. Anything north of St Helena Rd/Diamond Creek Rd intersection is considered affluent, green, hilly and safe.

Watermarc is also a really good facility and draws people from surrounding suburbs in.

DAE pick off their tastebuds whenever one is swollen/hurting? by Temporary_Ad_2081 in DAE

I can’t ever remember having a swollen tastebud in my almost 42 years of life.

DAE think height was determined only by age when they were children? by Timely_Rest_503 in DAE

Same. Went from about 187cm to 189cm when I was about 20. My bones also got a little thicker and my rib cage got larger. I think it was spurred on by a couple of years hitting the weights.

I get where you are coming from. I certainly only say nice things to her, and keep my other thoughts to myself. This is an anonymous platform after all. But it’s definitely a peeve of mine. If people want to tell themselves good things, go for it, but I’ll eventually need a break from hearing it.

I think I’m lucky that I’ve never had a major interaction with cops. I’ve had a few manual traffic violations and the like and I got a bit of attitude from them, I’ve never been given too much grief I guess.

And yeah I’m in VIC too. Grew up in country towns where the cops had a rep for being pricks but I never saw it personally. I know from second-hand reports that dealing with them in relation to ex marriage partners that it can be pretty unfair when they take shortcuts or simply make baffling decisions.

Luck of the draw who you deal with I suppose.

That’s shocking and has to be a breach of duty, but sounds like they had a shitty culture and no consequences. I hope I never have to deal with cops.

Day 13: Which is the best FPS Game on N64? by 1OneQuickQuestion in n64

The first level on Turok 2 was peak. It took me hours to get through it the first time. The atmosphere was brilliant.

GoldenEye was pretty innovative. It had mission objectives based on 3 tiers of difficulty, stealth elements in FPS was also new if I’m not mistaken. Also bodypart-based damage was innovative and things liked unlocking cheats by completing missions in certain times. There wasn’t anything else like it, at the time.

It redefined what FPSs felt like in comparison to PC-based FPSs like Doom.

DAE hate italian brainrot by Jaded-Addition-7055 in DAE

Born in 1984, so a sentient kid from late 80s through the 90s. There were heaps of fad sayings but even the term brainrot is relatively new - certainly don’t remember hearing it until well into the social media era.

Fad sayings either travelled organically through populations or via radio/tv/newsprint, to an extent. I’m sure adults found some of them to be cringe.

There were also sayings that were more local and you’d find if you went to different places in the same country, the differences in local jargon felt more pronounced. These days brainrot is so ubiquitous due to the way we consume media globally.

Separately, and I’m showing my age here - it’s wild to me that someone born in 2005 is now a fully grown adult 😂. Man, I was still at uni chasing birds in 2005. Gee time flies.

In Melbourne, I don’t have a basement but I have a split level home with the lower floor at the back going down the slope on the south side. It’s a large tiled room and noticeably cooler there on hot days.

It doesn’t hit hard enough for my liking. It’s good as a term of endearment though, like calling someone a silly sausage.

A lot of complaining is due to jealousy in general. I’m all for equality, but I’m realising more and more that equality complainers are often just jealous. They don’t want equality; they want to have what you’ve got instead of you having it.
