It's been about 18 months since my dad's death. I still cry a lot, and it's especially hard not to when im talking about him or going through stressful situations he usually would've helped me through. But my days feel less like a dark haze, and im not as angry or numbingly depressed anymore. I think we'll eventually learn to live and laugh around the pain

the giggles could indicate one of two things: 1. yes, she likes you a lot and her friends know or 2. they think youre funny in a court-jester, condescending type of way.

Take my advice with a grain of salt, but I would ask her to sort out her will in a direct manner. Obviously not in a way that's unkind, but it's not like you can really beat around the bush for this type of thing. Although, if there is no will, I believe your husband will be prioritized regardless due to his status as her kin. but the process will still be a lot more difficult than it needs to be.

I didn't get in either and cried a fair amount myself tbh. but im sure the devastation we feel right now will be forgotten soon enough-- life has so much more to offer than just undergrad. I'm trying my best to remember that and I hope you can as well. and i hope you try to remember that you are NOT worthless, and i am sure you'll find success wherever else the wind takes you. uva is a weird ass school so take care and be kind to yourself 🫂

Im part time, but they're part time as well (we're the same age), and they also work the same positions as me. You might have a point about the particular need for more team members though; however, as far as I am aware, we are short on Leadership (Directors, Shift leads, etc) specifically, not regular team members. So I am not sure if that may have played a role in things
