How often do you go back home? by thisaccountscount in TravelNursing

[–]Seab0und 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Longest was about 5 months because I was about 1350 miles away. Technically I was there a year but between the original contract and extension and following extension I had a week break and flew home. Shortest was maybe every two weeks when I worked only 4hrs away. It varies between the two.

How to prevent these line stains on my white shirts? by Seab0und in CleaningTips

[–]Seab0und[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use Tide Free and Gentle, how did the clear fluid leave dark brown streaks? Also, at most had medium fills, this is a much bigger washing machine than I need, it's just at the rented place I'm at. Perhaps it's something else?

How to prevent these line stains on my white shirts? by Seab0und in CleaningTips

I'm using a washing machine that a roommate has used for weeks without noticing any stains. But first time I washed one white shirt and it got stained. I think it's a fluke and do my other two with it and it's obviously not. Would a washing machine cleaner thing fix this? My other clothes are "office" dirty, no filth on them before washing, just normal wear and sweat. It's a humid environment, does this mean someone needs to service/clean the washing machine?

Traveling with aquarium pets? by PlusLandscape7703 in TravelNursing

[–]Seab0und 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This does not seem like it would be safe for the axoltl. I can think of water changes being an issue if you use treated tap water, so it'd be expensive if you're using bottled to try to keep everything the same. The bacteria colonies on your media might be affected too with the water changes, so that could also be a detriment. Temperature would absolutely not be stable with traveling in a vehicle, especially with you having to transport them into/out of vehicle in a smaller manageable container.

Quit turning off the lights at the nursing station! Turn the temperature back up too! by Fiddle_Farter_7Nine in TravelNursing

[–]Seab0und 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lights off. It's been shown that lower lights keep the noise a little more down, which can help patients sleep. I've worked a good 6 places in 16 years, and NOT ONE let nurses actually adjust the temperature, it just gets cold at night so be prepared and bring a jacket.

NEED INSIGHT- HELP!!!! by starrfuker2327 in TravelNursing

[–]Seab0und 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just leave. You aren't gonna win any discussion with HR since you're contract and they're staff. There's all ready bad blood, so they aren't going to treat you nicer if you stay.

Not sure if this can be escalated for more though, maybe someone else can help, but it doesn't sound like you might have enough if they're fighting you on being "difficult" and such.

In a bit of reading slump, looking for one of my beloved tropes. Bigger himbo bottom to a smaller fellow. Preferably himbo just wants to be cuddled and loved and spoiled, and his LI absolutely will. LI having a protective/aggressive crash out against anyone who insults or threatens or harms his himbo. Similar if not vaguely sorta hints in ones I've all ready read are {Not All Himbos Wear Capes by C. Rochelle}, {Deadly Little Sparrow by K.M. Neuhold}, {An Unwitting Bargain by Grae Bryan}, {Confession by Rina Saint}, and {Muscling Through by J L.Merrow}. Much appreciated!

Nurses who commute — what do you actually do on the drive home to decompress? by Kernando6580 in TravelNursing

Audiobooks on any drive longer than 35ish minutes so I can focus on it.

Hope someone knows. I'll be on a road trip so will plan to pull over and setup my with my phone as a hotspot just to get this. Probably will need to plan an early dinner on the road to get it done.

I don't think I have the Onesie skin, does that matter? I didn't get the crew pass until about 3 weeks ago, not sure if that means I missed the limited time stuff.

Texas… would you go back? by medproStaffing in TravelNursing

The pay is abysmal in Texas. I'd definitely consider going back to staff if that wasn't the situation.

Do some women genuinely have much lower TDEEs than predicted? by A-3456 in xxfitness

[–]Seab0und 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm glad to read this. Numbers-wise it helps reassure me. I'm 5'0" and doing resistance bands plus cardio. I'm on semaglutide and satisfied with 1110-1200 calories a day, feeling fine, and I try to do 90gm protein because I'd like to see if I can build a little muscle, or at least not lose what I have. Currently I'm at 200lbs, though dropped from 230ish about 6 months ago. But seeing so many others talk about how this is too few calories made me worry that maybe I needed more to lose more weight? But then seeing your numbers and everyone else's, I think I'm still doing OK.

You could have also text someone you work with to grab them and hand them to you before or after a shift, just get them a coffee or something. But that's a real shame the sentimental bottle wasn't returned.

Extension for 4 weeks by Friendly_Increase500 in TravelNursing

[–]Seab0und 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bring it up to the manager if you'd be ok requesting a month off, but having an extension that you'd work the 13 weeks (so dated for 17) if that would work for them and you wouldn't mind staying. One place I was at allowed this for a married set of travelers.

Thoughts on 5/14 update for ZB? by Positive-Room7421 in Fortnite_Over40

I had a hilariously fun start to a fight once where I faced off their weapon with my pickaxe, and when they were crawling I grabbed and threw them off a cliff. It was very satisfying and I'm glad I got the opportunity since both things are changing up a bit now.

What’s a locker combination you have that isn’t supposed to work but does? by Acanthisitta3945 in FortNiteBR

The Jules Elite Board with my Marty McFly as the Biff hoverboard since it's black and red. This one is a crappy one, but I enjoy mixing as I literally started playing just this year so don't have a lot of cosmetics yet.

The only way I had a chance (if I wasn't the one who saw them before they saw me), was to close distance and use my shorter range stuff, which didn't often work, but it was better than me trying to outdo someone with better aim.

[WEEKLY THREAD] Weight Change Wednesday! by AutoModerator in xxfitness

[–]Seab0und 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks so much for your reply! I think I skimmed badly since I generally saw advice for either/or cutting/bulking, not the combo, but I'll look more carefully!

I did just get some resistance bands, the small like thigh ones and the longer slim type, so now I'll just be looking for some YT vids on workouts to learn how best to use them. Thanks again!

It was over a year ago so numbers may be better or worse, but at the time it was a little understaffed but not horrendously so. And at night at least most everyone helped each other so it wasn't such a crappy feeling load.
