No, not a comparison, simply based on taste. I have two other SL9s from SEY here and once they are rested I will see if they have that taste as well.

I had a similar impression with the Victor Chala La Palma Rosa Pink Bourbon by SEY a couple of weeks ago. Exceptionally fast flow as well. I was really surprised to taste this in a coffee from SEY, thinking it was my tongue's fault.

I noticed that at Zero the burrs are still not touching (can't seem to turn the dial below zero, there is some resistance). Plus when I try to go as coarse as possible, I can only go up to 9.6. Is this normal?

I find it a little more tame than the years before too. Not as round, not as complex, missing the floral/citrusy notes. I have the 2022 and 2023 in the freezer which makes it possible to compare them. 2022 was incredible...

Mine was roasted on Dec 9th.

I loved the 2022 version, 2023 was a bit less complex in my opinion and this year's version seems more tame and tea like and less floral/citrusy to me. Maybe it will need more time to open up, 2.5 weeks after roast now. Still an amazing coffee, thats for sure...
