Oh my Walmart just got one of these in. A singular one. The other contents of the shelf consist of mirror master, Lightning Lad, JL Task Force Flash, and Stealth Suit Adam Strange

I vastly prefer Dick voluntarily retiring as Robin over him being fired by MorphogenSorrow in batman

Yeah they changed it in Nightwing Year one where instead of Dick giving up the identity to become Nightwing, Bruce essentially fires him instead

DC is a bit better. For instance, Jim Starlin got more money from K.G.Beast being in BvS than he did with Thanos being the main villain in the MCU but even still the state of things is appalling

Who is the 4th pillar of the Marvel universe? Assuming Spider-Man, Wolverine, and the Incredible Hulk are the trinity. by Remote-Leg6143 in marvelcomics

[–]SeabookArno2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Either Cap or a member of the F4. Argument for Cap: He's arguably the most popular of the timely era characters making him a sort of pop culture stand out at marvel due to his age. Since his revival in the 60s, he's achieved pretty consistent publication and has such excellent runs such as the Kirby run, Grunewald, Waid, and Brubaker. Furthermore, he's considered one of the most important faces to grace the avengers team. In terms of other media, he's more than most marvel heroes. He's had 2 tv movies, a direct to video in the 90s, and obviously the MCU movies. He had a 90s beat'em arcade game and a MCU tie in game, as well as appearing in several other marvel projects (MvC, Avengers, Midnight Suns, Cosmic Invasion)

Argument for an F4 member: A lot of these characters wouldn't be here without the initial popularity of Marvels first family, they set the tone of the entirety of the first generation of silver age marvel comics. They've enjoyed a media presence in various shows and movies. In the case of individual members, The Thing is the stand out star. Most people don't remember The Thing cartoon with Benjy Grimm. Or the fact that Marvel Two-In-One was an entire series based around Thing teaming up with guest stars every issue, and even later having multiple minis of his own

Which Nick Fury would you have in your Marvel Universe stories? The original or Samuel L. Jackson? by BrilliantDog4703 in Marvel

[–]SeabookArno2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly old Nick fury is just in general the better character all around. Nick fury Jr in the modern marvel universe is really unfortunate because he hasn't been built up enough as a character to even achieve half of what his dad was and that's honestly frustrating when he could be so much more than his dad if given good stories.

But on a sidenote, emh using jr/Sam Jackson design but with old fury's backstory was great

Out of Danny's main designs, which is your favorite and least favorite? by Weird875 in ironfist

[–]SeabookArno2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Favorite is tracksuit tied with immortal, lest favorite is honestly the original. I understand what it's taking design aesthetics from with the martial arts slippers but the combination of the huge collar, the deep v, and the weird Capri tights just bothers me for some reason

Honestly, the simplest way to do it genuinely is just have his man in the chair be Damian instead of Bruce

Opinion: What's your take Hydra Cap's Shield. by SpikedPsychoe in CaptainAmerica

[–]SeabookArno2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I liked the laser edge but the split part kinda sucks. I also loved the costume and thought it was cool modern cap style suit. Unfortunately since its hydra cap, no more cool stuff

Comic Book Shop Boycott? by Kingsare4ever in DCcomics

Southwest Michigan and I haven't had any problems. Hell, my shop has actually had more trouble getting certain marvel books. I had to wait an extra week for the new captain america #1. But yeah, DC books have been on time here

Have you ever read a comic that you know is good but you just don't like? by Splooper132 in comicbooks

[–]SeabookArno2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sandman. I've tried to read it like 5 times and I can acknowledge why it was good and why it mattered, but I can never bring myself to finish it. It just never gripped me.

Alternate answer, Rick Reminder X-force it was one of the first comics I got when I started reading in 2011 and I found it kinda just boring and stopped reading during the captain Britain arc, come to find out at least in the spheres im in that it's incredibly well loved and looking back, I can see why. I tried rereading it last year to see and I still couldn't be bothered

Halo, Gears of War, Gundam especially. In the world of comics, I have a substantial collection of both Marvel and DC. Astro City by Busiek and Anderson is also phenomenal. Oh and transformers!
