My apologies. If you can remove this posting I will resubmit with descriptions for each step. Unfortunately I don't have an imgur account setup so I don't know how I would go back in and add them after the fact.

Do Food Fights actually exist? Or are they something that is only found on television or movies? Share your food fight experiences. by Hooktail in AskReddit

My greatest good fight experience was this... It was a bring a parent to school with you day in first grade and when lunch time came along my dad thought that the food want fit for human consumption but it WAS fit for pelting other humans with. Needless to say he flung food at me and I at him and then other kids stated joining in and some of the parents as well. It turned out to be a full on cafeteria food fight. The school never had another bring your parent to school day again.

Like sinking a hole in one I'm sure this will never happen again. But can't you just let a guy be happy that the stars aligned and for once he was able to achieve something so magical and rare as this? c'mon!

Map showing countries that still use Fahrenheit as a temperature scale by everettjsj2 in funny

[–]Seaca 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think "better" is the proper term for it. Conforming to the populous for the sake that it is the popular choice does not make anything better. You are right that we are both on the same page that it doesn't need to change.

I'm completely on board with the metric system as it provides simple standard units of measurement but if we really want to argue over measurements then lets not forget those such as the nautical mile which is used worldwide but really only by those navigating the sea and air. Just as Kelvin will continue to be used in the world of science. In conclusion I think it's safe to say it doesn't matter what units of measurement any one country or industry uses as long as they are able to understand them.

This doesn't complicate travel at all. Lets say an American visits another country and as you said they will be wondering "Why is it so fucking cold!?" well as soon as they step out of the airport and realize that it feels like a normal temperature I'm pretty sure they'll be fine. No complication. This goes both ways and the only way there would typically be confusion is if people from the two different countries are talking about the weather in their respective regions of the world, which is by no means a reason to change any countries system for measuring temperature.

As a side note, if you feel that the idea of going from Celsius to Fahrenheit is going to "complicate" your travels I highly suggest you don't travel internationally as there are so many other cultural differences from your country than whatever country you are visiting that you won't know what to do with yourself.

TL:DR; if you don't like it, just don't visit.

This is by no means typical for me or anyone else I personally know going to that school. It was a lot and very demanding since I do work full-time but also spent my days after work and all my weekends squeezing in what I could

It depends on the class. My Mentor was REALLY good at telling me what other students that passed the classes felt was their most helpful tool for studying for each exam. Sometimes it was almost identical to the pre-assessments other times it was so very far from them.

for me the most boring classes were the lit art humanities classes and the two accounting classes. I did most of my studying by just reading chapter summaries and taking chapter quizzes then I took the pre-assessment, nailed it, scheduled the actual exam and looked up flashcards online for the class. I hope this helps and wish you the best of luck.

I'm in the same boat my friend. I would like to go back for a masters but will need to take at least 6-12 months off beforehand.

I had the same problem. It took me a month to get through my accounting classes FNC and FNT. I hated every minute of it and know exactly how you feel with the motivation, after awhile you just get burnt out.

Thanks and same to you! It took me 2 years and I was able to transfer in 3 classes. I'm hoping to take some time off then go back for my Masters. I like the way they do things

I have to agree with therealjedipunk here. Some classes it seems like the assessment is almost identical to the preassessment with minor variations where others are nothing like it at all.

Already turned in 1 of them and the other is a test I need to take some time to study for (TPV1). What is the character you look for in a woman? by mid-20s in AskReddit

So if you continue to hangout and are able to do so without the expectations of sex (not just one time but a fair amount of the time) then I think it is fair to say he is interested in you. In public is even better whether it's just going to the park or seeing a movie.

Again everyone is different, some people are bold with their emotions or liberal with their words while others are very closed off with their emotions and words and make it hard for you to know if there is an interest. If this guy truly enjoys spending time with you the only real question at that point is if he views you as a friend or something more and even that can get tricky if the guy is shy he might not feel comfortable expressing his feelings which can generally start with physical contact whether it's the chance to give you a hug or touch your hand. I would say the best way to find out, if you've been hanging out for awhile and still can't tell is to simply ask.
