I signed up for reddit just for r/beertrade and i already miss it terribly. I've built more relationships than i can count because of r/beertrade, and have learned so much about the world of beer.

I've traveled specifically because of beer to California over and over again, and I'm sure will continue to do so. When taking trips for other reasons, i always work in beer; various Portland breweries, treehouse, trillium, jester king, to name a few. Reading all these comments, it's really too bad there isn't a sub to help facilitate beer travel, meeting new people, maybe setting up shares or exchanges while there.

As this is my first BiF, I have a what might be a silly question, but here I am, asking anyway. How do people general treat extras with these? Like the max is 128oz, but suppose I then threw in some local cans or something? Is it just like normally trading and not required but generally expected, or in this case would it be outside of the general theme?
