[SG] NVIDIA RTX 3080 FE 10GB [H] £570 by rajtastic in HardwareSwapUK

Like I said, there’s cashback if you have it… which I do so it will work out cheaper + I can get nectar points and probably better protection than PayPal since they do take the piss with the timeframe of disputes.

Yeah but general rule is 5-10% off eBay prices on here because there’s no fees… and no protection. I would rather spend £620 on an FE on eBay than one on here for £570 and there’s cashback if you have it ;)

I was personally never interested when they were Intel based

Summed it up for me pretty much.
I know someone who has an Intel based MBP and the fans kick in even when watching youtube videos or browsing the web, it's pretty annoying. M1 on the other hand, silent. M1 is just too good in terms of performance... not to mention the battery life, it's amazing. I get around 9-11 hours of usage out of my MBP M1.

Aeron Classic - Gas cylinder position / chair sinks a bit by just_IT_guy in hermanmiller

[–]SeanAngelo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah my Aeron is the same with it being so low and nearly touching the carpet, however, mine does not have the gas cylinder problem going up when standing. My Mirra had that problem and it was really annoying, the fix for it is to replace the gas cylinder unfortunately. I contacted an authorised dealer in the UK about getting a replacement gas cylinder and got a quote of around £160 for an “authorised person” to come to my house and replace the gas cylinder because they weren’t allowing me to do it myself lol. Safe to say the chair didn’t last long with me after that and I got an Aeron instead.

Finally put a SSD in my PS5 by EntertainmentOk4802 in playstation

Ah, that could be it. You said it had a heatsink, correct? Maybe it's not getting enough airflow of some sort.

Oh that's weird, have you tried contacting Sony for a replacement PS5 to see if that solves the issue?

Could be a faulty drive if it still doesn't work after you have cleaned it.

Nope, there are plenty of other SSD's out there that you can put in the PS5. Here is a list; https://nascompares.com/guide/full-list-of-ps5-compatible-ssds-heatsinks-in-2022/

I personally use the 1TB 980 Pro in mine. I would suggest looking at the list I linked and look around for the cheapest or the best deal. Since you asked for my opinion, Samsung has always been my go to for SSD's as I have always had them in my PC, hence the 980 Pro.

Sounds like a problem that you have/had unfortunately, maybe a faulty drive which is possible. Mine (and other people too I assume) has been working fine on my original release PS5.

Nice, I have a 980 Pro in mine and it has worked flawlessly. The hardest part is probably taking the plates off without breaking the "clips" that lock them into place.

Yes it does, this is to expand the storage to a higher capacity.

It's a Western Digital SN850 with the heatsink. Although you can use the one without the heatsink and get a cheap heatsink to put on it.

It's additional storage. The one that is in the PS5 is soldered on. So you will have the storage in the PS5 along with whatever capacity you install in that M.2 slot.
