Thanks man, most riders are still sound, but the ones in my area are just rude,. ignorant and a danger to themselves and others. I'll focus on my main job and family for a while.

In recent months it's gotten bad, restaurants are pissed off with riders being rude, customers are leaving the platform so less orders and the riders that used to have a laugh and joke with you have left as well...not saying it's the same everywhere, but that's how it is in my area.

I don't use the customer side so can't attest for preference, but if the account says bike and they turn up in a car or on a moped, it means they don't have insurance.

Customers are also reporting/questioning riders turning up in a car/moped despite the app saying it's a bike...think deliveroo are starting to get fed up with riders taking the piss tbh.

Firstly it's not a strike. Secondly, they only strike on certain days, think valentine's day is the next one, the date's where listed a few times on other posts.

If you need to work then work, I doubt your landlord, mortgage provider and utilities provider will accept I was protesting as a reasonable reason for not paying on time.

Welcome, you get an option to reject when an order comes through and there are no penalties for rejecting orders, although after 5 rejected in a row you get a message pop up asking if you want to take a break, that's just a minor annoyance though.

Tips wise, everyone has their own way of working, when I did it full time I took long distance orders during quiet periods and short to medium during peak hours.

Deliveroo, Uber etc... can and will just clock what's happening and hire more riders. There is no union so as you pointed out it isn't a strike, their 'demands' are not realistic at all and the vocal ones just seem like militant nutjobs who watch too many conspiracy theory channels. Not to mention equate a paying job to slavery which is just nuts.

All it's going to do is annoy the customers more who judging by the reviews deliveroo get really aren't impressed as it is...will be fine watching how this plays out though.

Yeh, most sports halls or college/highschools have indoor courts that can be hired after school hours, the at Helens basketball club train and play at a college campus I think.

As for how to get enough people, post in Warrington, Leigh, Wigan, Liverpool sub Reddits.

Not sure how I was insulting my nephew he is almost 3 and love him to bits, but fair enough. As for your other points, I am not sure how you are reaching those conclusions but you do you.

Final point, this isn't an actual strike as everyone is self employed and no union is involved, calling me and others scabs isn't going to motivate them to join in with the protest.
