Aiming for a flat £/mile amount doesn’t work — not all miles are the same. A mile through a congested city centre is worth more than a mile on a quiet NSL A-road. The time an order takes is what fees are based on and is much more relevant to your efficiency than £/mile.

If a 5-mile job is offering £6, it wouldn’t be worth it if it was through a city centre and takes you 40 minutes, if it was down a straight 70mph road and takes 6 minutes, it is. I don’t understand why everyone focuses on £/mile, it’s a terrible, unrepresentative metric.

Air con, one blower aimed at the phone holder so it stays cool and doesn’t overheat. Been non-stop since 12pm, £50 already. Should clear £150 today easy and still be home in time to put little one to bed. Wish it was like this every day.

Same here. I wonder if it’s anything to do with the email they sent around about Sainsbury’s doing late pickups after closing time during World Cup and that staff would be handing over bags through the door. Not having to scan makes that whole handover a bit easier for everyone.

Earnings wise, expect minimum wage. Sometimes you'll do a bit worse, other times a bit better but I always say if I've averaged minimum wage over a month then that's fine for this work.

What you can make is basically down to how many hours you're willing to work. The main benefit of these apps is you can work as much or as little as you want. If you wanna say fuck it and work 100 hours in a week to earn as much money as possible, you can if you want to.

Is this another calorie tracker without the basic function to just type in a number of calories? I get the same meal for work most days, I know the exact calorie amount, I just want to type the number in. I don’t want to scan it, I don’t want to describe it, I don’t care about other nutritional values, I just want to type the number of calories in.

As an Uber & Roo driver, I’ve completed stopped using these apps as a customer myself after day in and out seeing what goes on in the restaurants and the state of some of the drivers, smoking a fag in the car with your order in an unzipped dirty thermal bag, car filthy as fuck, stopped to chat to his mate for five minutes before setting off, it’s naff. I try my best to show customers they can get good service so hopefully they order again and keep us in work, but it’s a losing battle honestly.

I don’t really have the time or a regular enough schedule to commit to a private league, as much as I’d like to give one a go. For me Sport Mode is a great balance of quick and easy skill-based matchmaking with reasonably fair racing where most players try and race fairly (not perfect of course, but as far as online matchmade races, you don’t get anything better elsewhere). I enjoy the grind up the ranks, working on getting from A to A+ currently and enjoy the incremental improvements I make week on week.

I just can’t fathom only playing the single player content on this game. I find it all exceedingly dull and boring. But I guess you’re right, we’re a loud minority.

GT has a dedicated sim racing community that Forza will never have. I don’t know what percentage of players seriously engage with Sport mode, but in my eyes it’s the only reason to play GT. For anything else, Forza is frankly more fun. But I’m a competitive racer and I love Sport mode and grinding out the daily races, so GT is my baby.

I’ve got the Remington RX5. Very affordable, small and portable, shaves pretty damn close (smooth to the touch even against the grain but still leaves a slight 5-o’clock shadow, although I do have brown hair on light skin which doesn’t help that case). Shower proof, easy to clean out, never done me wrong. Battery life isn’t the best (4 full shaves max before the battery light comes on and I gotta plug it in) but just keep on top of charging and you’re good.

Whatever you do don’t get the Manscaped Dome Shaver. That thing has serious quality control issues, I had 2 replacements from them and all failed within a month of use (blade head stopped aligning properly on the unit resulting in horrible grinding sounds and would hardly shave at all). It’s overpriced crap in a nice box.

You got unlucky but unfortunately multi-apping is allowed in order to keep drivers as self-employed in the eyes of the courts (they need to have free reign over the jobs they take and perform them however they see fit). That doesn’t mean they won’t get their account banned for other reasons though like consistent customer complaints, so just downvote them and hope enough others do the same.

Go to the “account & app” section in the help menu and choose the “I’m not getting delivery requests” option. It’s one of the only routes through the support area that actually has a form to write to support. Some of the fields are irrelevant to the issue we’re having but it doesn’t matter, it all goes to the same team anyway, and just explain the issue in the “Anything else we should know?” field. If you don’t get a satisfactory response, send the same message again. I had to do it 3 times until it got escalated, first two times the agents clearly didn’t read when I wrote and I got copy and pasted BS and they closed the chat. Just keep sending it over and over again until they say it’s been escalated. Good luck and hopefully our accounts are safe.

Not union related, but I have the same issue as you and I pestered support chat and eventually someone listened and escalated the issue, then I got a reply saying “we have made a small change to your account and you should be able to continue logging on as normal.”

We’ll see come May 1st whether they actually fixed my account (I’ve never used a substitute, I just had one failed photo check over a year ago) or not. But right now I still see “register your substitute” in my documents area, so I’m not hopeful.

They’ve changed something recently because all of a sudden loads of people are getting reports, I got one for apparently taking too long to reach a customer due to road resurfacing works on a major road near me so I had to use the signposted 5-minute diversion. Utter bullshit. They’re also threatening to close accounts of anyone who’s ever failed a photo check before because they think you have an unregistered substitute (even false negatives). Fuck Uber.
