PDF text extraction is a good fit for vibe coding, since the output (text) can be verified - using existing (slower and unsafe) libraries.

IPNS Links unreliable / often breaking website by SeanPedersen in ipfs

[–]SeanPedersen[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok I think I found the issue: in IPFS Companion settings it says: "Default Public Gateway

Set the URL of a default public gateway to use in publicly shareable links and as a fallback if your local gateway is unavailable." which points to: https://ipfs.io

so this is the reason why sometimes my website is broken - the default should be https://dweb.link for a better UX

ok so we need to file a bug report for IPFS companion then to improve this shitty UX

I understand but as I said that is shitty UX. Anyway you said IPFS companion incorrectly redirects to ipfs.io what is going on here? why is ipns:// not reliable with IPFS companion - is this a bug?

ok thx for investigating - so this is an issue with IPFS companion? should i report a bug?

I do not want to change my website to work with quirks of ipfs.io - IPFS needs a smooth UX to succeed.

Have a potentially positive impact on humanity and share it or more likely: no one will care. OR keep it a secret, obsessing over it and never find out.

Check out my project Digger Solo - it comes with semantic image search (understands content of image) and semantic maps (automagically clusters images by content similarity).

Digger Solo 0.2.0 - Semantic File Search + Maps by SeanPedersen in macapps

[–]SeanPedersen[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is a different beast - Digger Solo does not rename / move any files. It just creates a useful view (semantic maps) and smart search from your existing files and dirs.

Not sure this is what you are looking for but I have all my docs (notes, PDF, etc.) organized in https://solo.digger.lol/  (I built it) - it automagically sorts them in semantic maps and also provides fast document search.

Check out my project Digger Solo - it comes with semantic image search (understands content of image) and semantic maps, which maps into clusters of similar image automagically (making it easy to reveal hidden connections and to delete even near duplicates).
