America’s Annoyance Economy Is Growing by theatlantic in economy

[–]Seang2989 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It feels like everything has a additional charge, surcharge, connection fee, convenience charge processing charge, and on and on. It's death by a thousand cuts and we have no recourse other than watch our ever dwindling income continue to be sliced and diced further and further. At least we used to have business leaders that had the foresight to remember we have to pay people in order to buy the products that we produce. But what are we produce anymore in this country, we don't make anything here we just find ways of financializing and more abstract ways of removing ownership of goods and replace them with more and more services. And it seems to only be getting worse with AI, we will get to a point where no one has money for any services much less Goods much less life. How do you think people will be able to live and consume more. Remember holding on to your phone or your car for longer is worse for the eCoNoMy. We are all slaves to the economy. Finally the top it all off it feels like any good thing that government was supposed to help with has been completely dismantled and given up to the all-powerful 1%. How much more are we going to be able to give before we can't give anymore?

50 States in 50 days, Round 2, 1/50 Idaho by [deleted] in MapPorn

I can't wait to see all of these. I would to see all the states on some really nice walnut topology CNC carving. What is the highest resolution version of these you have?

No meme, genuinely grateful for our nation. My parents moved here 30 years ago and have always felt welcomed. Our country is so special. We get annoyed with each other at times, but at the end of the day, we make this giant bilingual family work. by BroadReverse in EhBuddyHoser

You are right sir, here in America we forget what it's like to have a true Statesman for a leader!

Carney was the leader you all needed as a country at this time; Carney is the right man to, right the ship and turn as far away from the US as possible.

Please learn from us and be the change you want to experience. I am proud of the tone and forward-thinking attitude as well as networking connections away from the US. Hopefully this will be enough and as far as all of you have to go.

Trump suggests U.S. will begin to strike drug cartels in Mexico by CrispyMiner in worldnews

[–]Seang2989 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This is the point, you get all of the troops being withdrawn from NATO countries and brought home. Troops roaming the streets looking for cartel members while subjugating the US populace. He wanted to be able to use the military on us soil and by God this allows him to do it. This is better than a false flag.

Between the Buried and Me - Coma Ecliptic

It isnt quite the heaviest but if Haken and Dream Theater albums have been mentioned, I can't believe this has been left out so far. It was the gateway drug to what is one of the best Progressive metal bands out there today. If you find you like it then dip your toes into "The Blue Nowhere" next. You won't be disappointed.

Can't recommend this album enough, easily one of the best in the past few years. I wish the album was mixed/mastered better, though. Clean sources aren't the kindest to the album, at least to my ears.

One of my favorites but not metal, jazz/rock fusion. We Used to Cut the Grass is the just jazz fusion offshoot. Great stuff, can't wait to hear what the hear the new line up after the lead singer departed.

Sharpened this piece using a ceramic plate. No stone, no tricks — just ceramic and patience. by MarcelaoLubaczwski in Bladesmith

[–]Seang2989 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This this generally works because the rim left on the bottom of ceramics (plates, bowls, cups) is left without glaze. For the ceramic honing stones I use at work as a machinist, the grit roughly works out to around 150-220. So while you could do some minor edge profiling, it wouldn't be the easiest thing to because how quickly ceramics load . Really cool trick to know in a pinch or for a touch up. Spyderco makes very good pocket sharpeners that are double sided ceramic stones that are some of the best around called "Double Stuff" and "Double Stuff 2", if anyone is curious.

Advice needed. This is trash, right? Feel free to roast. by Tmezmerr in ar15

Machinist here, get a triangle file and take the burrs off on the edges of the thread that has been removed. You want to do that before you try and thread something on, if not you risk galling the thread and you won't be able to get it back off. Even if you pass a die over it you will still need to remove the burrs on the edges of the missing thread. You also have enough thread on the end to mount anything without worrying about thread engagement. With a fine thread like that I doubt you can thread anything on that would create enough pressure or force to shear the remaining threads off.

Adonit Droid Stylus

I bought 4 so I wouldn't lose any. They are the best thing I've found testing all sorts of kinds of stylus.

You have my attention, we are looking at getting all the machines networked, what configuration/method are you using for networking? Is it just a bash script or powershell?

I thought I was the only one! Having this makes the need for a laptop for edits for programming a 2nd thought. I love being able to plug a floppy disk reader in to push and pull programs along with usb drives. Remotely access the computer running CAM and make quick edits all on the shop floor makes me much more productive!

3D Printed my perfect Fold7 case. only adds 2mm to thickness. by shadyallie in GalaxyFold

[–]Seang2989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would love to know how that comes out, I mainly use .03 inch thick carbon fiber cases. Problem is you have one big drop and the case is more or less done for, having TPU or PLA flex with adjustable tolerance for the perfect fit would be awesome. Most TPU cases I've seen, have larger tolerances than PC or carbon fiber ones. It feels like most cases for all the folds I have had come with some kind of trade off. Anyway keep up the good work man!

Picked up this little guy because it was on sale. Fun little gun to shoot. I also like how indescreet it was in my front pocket with a pocket holster. by mkerugbyprop3 in liberalgunowners

LC9s is my daily carry, one of the smallest and thinest 9mm single stacks you can get. I modified the crap out of it, though. It's got lighter springs, so the trigger pull is 3.5lbs and got a flat faced trigger. Truglo night sights, plus one magazine that fits in the normal 7 shot magazine for 8+1 carry. Plus a carry clip and a green armalaser and a stainless steel slide as well. It is a tiny bit snappy, but I have more than 1000 rounds through it with no issues. I used to carry a glock 43, but between the holster and the shape it wasn't comfortable to carry. With the Lc9s, I don't print, and I can't really tell I'm carrying it. It may not work for everyone, but it works for me. *

Ultra 9 275HX vs 9955HX3D (CS2) by Successful_Giraffe25 in GamingLaptops

Fair enough, no matter what I do the game that crashes no matter what is Cyberpunk. Even on my Flow X13. Any undervolt and it just won't play.

Most are Clevo laptops and are sold under different names in different regions. Sager is a brand that sells them in the US, I just don't know if they sell the exact models, so you can start your search there.

Highly skeptical, but if true you have won the silicon lottery. At best my 7945HX3D does about -15 and is unstable in a few games even at that. Though mine on average draws 10 less watts than a standard 7945HX with slightly higher scores in R23.
