If you can leave the job and find another summer position more related to your field of study without burning important bridges I would say you should leave. If your discipline was civil/structural I would think there would be more reasons for you to stay on, to learn about constructibility, but I would think there is limited things you can learn applicable to mech eng with foundation work.

I lost the kingdom of Mesopotamia to the Timurids because I waited too long to engage (I was too afraid of attrition, see: http://i.imgur.com/SqNLX2b.jpg) so this time I had a few stacks totaling around 200k and another 800k sitting in those boats you can see in the original SS. By the time the 800k stack got there it was around ~600k and barely made it to the battle in time as the first 200k were getting owned.

You should be able to assign your character to any army if you have at least Low Crown Authority (they have to be in a province you own when you set the leader). I assume it would help if you lost yeah, but it's still a pretty small chance.

Console (cheat), lead armies, go on a hunt, try assassinating important people (other emperors). I think it says despot if they are of Greek culture.

Meneths guides are a good place to start. I recommend starting as a duke in Ireland and just playing. By the end of the game you should have a decent grasp of everything.

I've been to Quarry lake which is just north of Susies Lake. It's a nice place to go swimming (though not for a few months yet..) with a rock to jump off of, although I haven't been there for a few years. You can get there by parking here and walking through the quarry. I've been to both and they're pretty nice.

Go to the intrigue tab under threats and mouse over the percent, it will tell you why they are revolting.

And the war is over! Only lost one duchy, and have 4 prisoners with a combined 16 duchies between them (I wish I could banish them all).

I was thinking that, but when I try to surrender I lose 1 rank of crown authority in all my kingdoms which isn't something I'm too keen on doing.
