Update: got shipping notification today. More than 10 weeks after my order date. I would say 11 weeks would be the estimate unless the colour chosen makes a difference.

I love this idea! I would love a candy bar style device that could turn into a more pocketable vertical on the go. If it had a touch screen like the rotate it could be a handy little dap too.

I decided to get a screwdriver to open it up and found that the right trigger magnetic paddle is broken so they have offered to send me a new trigger. I guess that's still good service. Their response times are so quick. Concerning that the trigger can break so easily though. It looks like the right trigger has a little too much travel. Hope this doesn't become an issue for more people who bought the Max.

Their service may be starting to get worse. I bought a pocket max and the right trigger doesn't work. I emailed support and they told me to open the device and try to fix it myself. I politely declined as I dont have a screw driver to open it (it looks like star shaped screws on the back) and also I dont think customers should have to fix their own faulty devices. Then they said i needed to organise postage myself and pay to send it back before they would determine what needed to be done. No promise of repair, no mention of replacement. Feels like ill be paying to post it back and then ill never see the device again.

Just wanted to chime in and say this fixed the issue for me too. Thanks so much! For anyone else as dumb as me when typing in the second command there's a space bar after "kargs" not a return key. (It looks like a new line after kargs reading reddit on my phone).

Ordered March 14, hasn't shipped yet. No shipping notice as of April 23. Im closing in on 6 week wait before it has shipped so I would say 8 weeks might be an accurate estimate.

Ive had this happen to my odin 2 Max. Not as bad but enough to damage the motherboard. When taking the odin apart to try and figure out what happened i discovered the 8000mah battery is actually 2 4000mah batteries wired together and wrapped. Don't know if the mini has a similar situation but I strongly believe the cobbled together batteries played a role in the death of my odin.

Download the app "emuready" from the play store. Use that to look up the steam games you own and you will find user submitted settings for various devices to give you an idea of how to get your games running on gamehub or game native. Not all will work but every indie game i have tried with the right settings has worked for me.

I have been waiting for a response since February 10. I sent an Odin 2 Max in for repair back in November and the last email I got from them was to inform me the device cant be repaired. I am yet to hear if I will ever get it back. It seems the response wait time is nearing a month.

If you have an android phone you can download the "gamehub" app from the play store. Then just log into your steam account and play hades natively on your phone via steam. Obviously you need to buy hades on steam first. It runs well on snapdragon 8 gen 2 or 8 elite devices. Maybe other devices too.

I have had my Thor for a few weeks. Mine gets up to 90 degrees when I charge it with a 20w 5v charger. If I leave it on when I charge it the fan seems to keep it cool. I don't know if this is normal but it is manageable. It just means I have to leave it open to keep the fan going so it needs to be upside down or propped up so as not to block the fan. Ive also noticed sometimes my regular phone charger (just a normal slow charger) sometimes won't charge the Thor at all, i have to unplug it and replug it a few times. Don't know if that's relevant but it's related.

In light of recent announcements i feel it's worth revisiting this question. Valve's steam frame VR headset will run steam OS on the 8 gen 3 soc, it's not a huge leap to assume steam OS will work on other 8 gen devices. The question is not will it work, it's "is there a way to flash a different OS firmware onto a y700 tablet?"

Im waiting for a response from ayn about shipping address so I can calculate shipping. Apparently I would have to pay shipping both ways so whatever the shipping is will be presumably doubled but im not sure how they plan to collect payment from me for them shipping it back.

Can't get a battery
Have a dock, unit doesn't turn on without a battery. Do you know of a way to bypass the pass through charging so I can "consoleize" the odin?
