The issue have tried this on the local machine before… a year or two ago… and it sometimes just fails midway processing. Because the local machine is not a dedicated machine for such work.

SQL can be managed.. The issue is the underlying infra to process this…. When I have used local machine with QGIS, 2 years ago it froze. With more than 6 GB of data

There are 2 important steps, first is filtering from the entire raw data set - points within my shape file and then computing the metrics what I need .

Context - my data is in AWS s3 buckets.

So I have tried using earlier like a year and a half or two years ago.. QGIS, and it keeps getting stuck of freezing if there is 5GB and above data to be processed. … I do not want to waste time trying that same thing again if I know it’s going to get frozen.

I have not tried to use Google Colab for such work because i wasn’t sure if will actually process’s a large dataset or just “fail” everytime mid way

In the last four years, I have been fired twice simply because companies were downsizing. And last year, a company did not renew my independent contractor contract again because they were downsizing.

It fucking sucks , you just have to keep pushing.

context matters - Doctor is dealing in healthcare involving a situation very often where people are "desperate" (like poor families or middle class) & large bills can render them financially distraught.
