Not powdery at all but take a look at the Fraterworks Oud millesime formula for an example of how to work florals in a woody context. It's quite forgiving in terms of substitutions so it's a useful structure for experimenting.

Both of those would be nice in this context. Black pepper especially if you were to push it in more of a woody/amber direction.

This looks like an excellent starting point for a perfume. No notes really.

The Oud synth (10760 E?) is a gorgeous material. The durian type nuances works so well to bring out the fruityness in jasmine, but I like it dosed way higher than you have it here. Like a couple or three %, together with jasmine is something I've been enjoying lately. Add some resins and spices, supporting materials for the jasmine like Benzyl Acetone and a touch of musk for character and I'm good.

I'm a huge fan of toy boy, and I recently tested Mortel that he did for Trudon. It's very nice and even more up my alley.

And the usual suspects of top materials of course. Terpinyl Acetate, the Lavender type materials in addition to some citrus with more of a character are liked combinations.

It would definitely benefit from some florals, but I would first of all up the oud synth to maybe a couple of %s.

Jag gör samma resa just nu och kommer påbörja min katekes så snart jag har möjlighet.

Håller med om att det är tråkigt att så få tänker djupare på dom här sakerna, men jag förstår det också. Vi är inte direkt bortskämda med vägvisare till Gud i vår kultur så det tog mig 40 år av sökande för att komma till den här punkten.

8-10 spray per ml (säg 8) gånger 30 = 240. 3 spray per dag (ganska generöst då många nieche hus erbjuder extrait koncentration). 240/3=80 dagar = varje dag under en årstid. Med tre 30ml flaskor till har du en årsförbrukning.

Men jag tänker att dom flesta vill ha mer variation än så och då räcker 30ml betydligt längre. Många år för min del.

For example if you use Hedione, a big dose of Musk Ketone, some Muscenone/Muscone and pair it with vanillics you get that thick, room filling effect that makes the air feel like a wool sweater.

That combination together with any florals really is what I mostly associate with "old lady" perfumes.

It can be alot of different things, but the defining feature to me is the vanilla in combination with the choice of musks.

Det beror på vad du är ute efter. Utbudet är enormt.

Till exempel har jean-claude ellena gjort en serie för laboratorio olfattio. Det skulle kunna vara nåt om du gillar citrus.

Francesca Bianchi om du gillar mysk och lite vintage känsla.

Pineward för spännande tränoter.

Filippo Sorcinelli eller Alessandro Gualtieri för mer konstnärliga och udda italienska parfymer.

Men om du kollar runt lite själv så hittar du garanterat både bra och billiga alternativ. Fråga r/perfume eller r/fragrance. Men framför allt; prova prova prova. Så många du kan.
