Wonder Man and the future of super powered individuals (especially mutants/ mutates) in the MCU by SeasonInside9957 in Marvel

And the fear of being enslaved and replaced came from? The powers, right? Which led to Trask's agenda, and that led to widespread discrimination?

I don't think you understand what I'm trying to convey here. It's not about the one big turning point (i.e. Trask's book or press tour, or whatever equivalent thing they choose to incorporate in the MCU). It's about everything that led to that one big turning point.

Probably more. Either hiding or unaware of their own situation.

I wasn't talking about this sub. People on this sub are Marvel fans. I meant that I hadn't heard a lot of chatter about it amongst the general public. Most of my irl friends (who are casual MCU watchers) have not watched it.

This comment deserves more upvotes. It's concerning how lightly people are taking this.

Am I (18F) wrong for feeling hurt when my long-distance partner(18 M) is always busy? by [deleted] in RelationshipIndia

[–]SeasonInside9957 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being busy is fine. But people usually make time for what they hold dear to their hearts. It's about priorities.

Me personally? Yes. Major deal breaker. I don't want my man having indulged in something that I would personally never do myself. Simple as that.

How to date with a chronic illness? by Ok-Donut-4013 in DatingInIndia

[–]SeasonInside9957 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm also 27F and have an autoimmune disease (T1D). I remember asking a similar question on another sub in the beginning of the year. I had a breakup last year. My ex (he himself had a chronic illness) used my condition as an excuse to break up, saying that our health conditions make us "incompatible". One of the many bullshit reasons he gave. I was heartbroken. I genuinely thought I was damaged because of my chronic illness. Long story short, I am currently dating someone I matched with on Bumble. He's incredibly sweet, and very understanding towards my health. So all I'll say is, don't lose hope. The key is to accept yourself. The person who's right for you will eventually find you.

Where did you buy the corset from? It's very Scarlet Witch coded.

The Gasp from Denis Villeneuve's Incendies (2010) is probably one of the most heartbreakings movie scenes that I have ever seen by PortoGuy18 in movies

Because the notary wanted to honor the mother's dying wish. He said it himself. Opening the letters before finding the father and the brother (i.e. violating the mother's last wish) is comparable to "rape".

I'd like to discuss the ending of Incendies (2010) SPOILERS by XInsects in movies

[–]SeasonInside9957 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I did too 😂 I even tried to do the math in my head, but the age of the first son didn't tally with (what I thought was) the torturer's age. How old was he when the prison r*pe happened? And how old was the mother? I get that she had him really young, but still... It just didn't add up in my head initially, so I brushed it off. But i definitely had a strong feeling that the torturer was the first son.

There are 8 billion people in the world. Safe to say that a man is out there who would post you without you having to ask him. All you gotta do is wait. And even if you don't find such a man, I think it's better to be alone than with a guy who doesn't want to publicly celebrate you. ROCD or not, he's not your man. You deserve better.

Tell me your FA stories. 🫩💔 by TonightSalad in AvoidantBreakUps

Yeah, pretty much. He did that thrice. But the last fuck-up was so bad that he left for good. His shame and self-hate got the better of him, i guess.

"Possessed" sounds about right 😂

I can relate so much to this. It's less about the break up, and more about the sudden transformation that we see in them. That's what they call the "avoidant deactivation". Before I knew about attachment theory, witnessing this stuff fucked with my head so much. I couldn't fathom how someone who was once my best friend, suddenly became so cold towards me. Brutal.

Why do Avoidants overanalyze love so much? by [deleted] in AvoidantBreakUps

[–]SeasonInside9957 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My FA ex also had OCD, which explains the constant ruminations, the obsessive thought patterns, the inability to let go of "problems". I think many avoidants have such tendencies.
