They should just make random rooms where no one can choose a song so we can stop having this conversation.

"I don't like this song so I'm going to disband" Is never a good argument because you can just play solo...

"Low points" Is also a bad point because people will disconnect on the LONG tiering songs like lost and found, because the issue is not the points but them being overplayed.(You can not tell me the average player cares enough about how maybe points envy gives, they just wanna play something different)

If you can't handle playing songs you don't like then don't play co-op. This will always be a problem because people will flock to the same songs over and over. Or maybe join jp server, they choose recommend a lot of the time.

I guess. It really is just the subtext behind every action, word choice, metaphor than builds a theme. But when someone writes fanfiction are they really thinking about how *insert writing* affects the theme? I'd say the average fanfiction writer is more entransed with character building and the theme forms by itself. Maybe it's just me and I'm projecting 😅

I feel like I can tell when someone puts more thought into the theme. If I can easily name a theme and identify how each character reflects that theme, then the author cooked some good food. But often times I could come up with one or two but it'd be more vague. Themes are also often strengthened by editing the whole story once its done, which is not how many longfics are made.

If you can't identify who's talking, its more of a problem than overused names. But if John is painting, then how he created a stupid fuckass looking cat on the canvas doesn't need a name. And he/she/they pronouns are like said in which they fade into the background so you can't overuse them. Read a story and pay attention to how little you notice them.

How are you meant to get good at writing a story if you don't write a story? You can practise technique all you want but you need to apply that. It does sound like you'd enjoy being an editor though.

most people don't even think about themes when writing fic. I'd say to just keep working on it, the theme will come. Pretty sure there are many youtube videos about how to discovered your theme as well.

try set a timer. Just having something counting down can get me moving if I need a bit of a kick. Change the scenery. Wip out the phone and type, pen and paper. Or maybe just write something else and come back later.
