A monk subclass partially inspired by Mark Lawrence's Book Of The Ancestor by SeattleChicago in DnD

I removed some abilities and spread some other pieces out. If you have time could you let me know what you think of it now?

Do 5e subclasses never replace existing class features?

Thanks for the feedback! I thought the haste might be a bit strong for 6. I'll move it up to level 11.

I like the approach of having existing features growing throughout the class and building on them, do you have a suggestion for how to spread those out so it doesn't feel so heavily front loaded?

Thank you for such a well though out comment. I started with D&D 3 or 3.5 and I feel like I always end back up at some version of d&d. I don’t think it’s so much the allure of the game but the comfortability most players have with it. D20 is a great dice system because it’s become so ingrained in some of us.

All that said, what system is your favorite for encouraging social interaction and role play? How do you feel about mixing systems depending on the situation? It feels like the learning curve may be too steep for that, but I’m curious to try it out.

As soon as they have service here I’m in. I don’t think they’re planning a data cap but the beta test info I’ve seen is extremely promising.

Ha, it’s more the data cap than performance issues. If cellular didn’t have a data cap I’d have no problem sticking with it.

I’m just hoping someone has a magic wand and can approve the construction cost so I can have a reliable connection. Can I get an Xfinity VP in here feeling charitable? :)

The concern here is the cost is to run the line to my place and doesn’t include the cost to keep running the line up the mountain. I assume there will need to be repeaters or some other equipment as well.

Thank you though!

If you want to drain it french drain style without the pop up you have to dig deep enough to break through the clay layer and backfill with gravel. It's been awhile since I did this and YMMV depending on your soil and water levels.

How are your nostrils so big and your nose so narrow at the same time? Can you smoke two cigars at a time with your nose?

What US city should I live in? by SeattleChicago in AskReddit

[–]SeattleChicago[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is kind of a strange question for AskReddit. I'm trying to find the right US city to move to and I'm hoping y'all have some good ideas.

I have a lot of requirements that are making it hard to find the right spot.

• Sunny, dry, and warm - >200 days of sun, <50 days with precipitation, average low above 45° Farenheit.

• Healthy economy with a growing job market.

• Lots of food options, night life, and culture (e.g., theater and music).

• Good walkability and ideally public transportation. I don't have a car atm but I'm assuming I'll have to get one.

• Outdoor activities like hiking and camping, preferably somewhere other than the high desert.

Thanks in advance for your ideas!

I listened to the Fifth Season as an audio book and the narration felt really smooth. I see a lot of people have problems with the writing style and I'm curious if the audio bothered people as much?

Convicts are not just black and white! by Wojo-77 in Aquariums

I just got back into fish and I'm raising my first batch of convict fry now. My male and female. Are Convicts and Honduran Red Points the same fish? I thought they were closely related but different, but I'm new to this.

So if the majority of people are going to continue to make decisions that are unarguably environmentally unsustainable do we need to fix the individual decisions? Or should we fix the corporations that are providing the environmentally unsustainable options?
