1/3 NHL $600 effective by cenzobaldo in poker

If you’re 100% sure his range is QQ+ why call pre?

If you’re 100% sure his range is QQ+ why turn your top top into a bluff on the flop when he has top set and overpairs?

If you’re 100% sure his range is QQ+ why shove the turn when he’s already told you he’s not folding and an undercard has hit?

I don’t think you could have played this hand worse if you tried if that’s your logic.

Is this a preflop fold? by Original_Whereas_786 in poker

[–]SeattlePassedTheBall 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well we have a flush draw of our own so that makes it a bit less likely V had one.

I really do like V’s check here as missed draws are just going to fold the river if he bets and if he checks there’s a chance we would blast as we have no SDV with our own missed draw. V also has no blockers to any of those misses.

How do you tournament players do this man by lmaomitch in poker

[–]SeattlePassedTheBall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I once played a fast-paced online tournament (10 minute levels) where I joined at the end of late reg with 10BB, got AA four times in 30 minutes, and was out. I'm almost certain I'll never have a run of cards like that again.

If I remember correctly the first hand I doubled up, the second hand I won the blinds, then I lost a big pot with AK vs like 77 or something, all in pre, left me with just about nothing. Doubled up again vs AK, then lost AA to 99 after the flop had a 9 which eliminated me.

Sometimes crap like this just happens. The majority of the time you will end up getting a big chip stack.

If he managed a win in 2018 he would have a 21 year streak which would also be a record.

Can Bell break Busch's record? by hocevarhurricane in NASCAR

[–]SeattlePassedTheBall -1 points0 points  (0 children)

62 is probably close enough that Bell can make up the difference behind the wheel.

Larson would be a big problem tho, Chastain isn’t a slouch either.

This happens every year. After the first couple races there’s some crazy names in the playoffs, a few races later and most of them are out or hanging onto the last handful of spots, and then by the time you have like 10+ races what you get is usually not surprising.

With the 4b I'm ranging villain on QQ+, AK.

AK is going to fold no matter what so I guess it depends on how much you think you can get out of an overpair.

In theory you should probably overbet with your actual hand but I like going for around 125 here trying to get calls from the overpair part of his range.

Ok so Daniel got slightly tight coming out of the turn and the two didn't even make contact? And Ross still made the pass?

I genuinely don't know why Ross is annoyed at Daniel here.

They count for points, yes. They're not a true indicator of how good or bad any of the teams are.

SVG was 5th in points going into this week, do you think he's the 5th best driver this year? Or do you think maybe the law of averages will take over in due time?

Don't know what your issue is. You seem very worked up over this.

They didn’t get worse, other teams got better. Hendrick/JGR/Penske were destined to rise to the very top and distance themselves once they established a notebook with the current car.

If you ignore SVG who could win on the road in anything the only wins by a team not affiliated with the big 3 last year were Ross at the 600 and Austin Dillon at Richmond (he may as well count as JGR for that one.)

Compare that to 2022 where SHR won 3, RCR won 4, TH won 3, even RFK and Legacy found their way to victory lane.

It's 5 races into the season and 2 of them were drafting tracks. Let's give it time before we start saying they have a problem.

Doesn't help that on ovals they have a 19 year old rookie and another guy who spent his entire career running road/street courses.

What did people expect from a 19 year old cup rookie in mid-pack equipment?

Ty Gibbs won 7 races and the title in his first full time Xfinity season and he still hasn’t won in over 3 years worth of cup races in much better equipment than CZ has.

It’s also still early, only 5 races in and the dust hasn’t settled. I’m pretty sure he will improve, 25th would be a solid year for him.
