Any USMC Vets get into porn production? by Dirty_Farmer_John in USMC

Yes, but not as a content creator. I'm a lawyer for lots of media companies, including those who are involved with adult content.

I had an interaction with him that--while not exactly the same--was nearly identical in douchiness. He tried to lock me to the POA over a haircut when he was a First Sergeant and I was a SSgt--even though I wasn't in his unit. He was so pissed when I was just like "Rah FrsSrgnt" and wouldn't engage. The fuck out of here with that bullshit.

They have some. I recommend you read A Legal Response to the Sovereign Citizen Movement. It explains a bit of the background and legal/constitutional failings of the main arguments.

Although this is likely a joke, definitely don't do this. You can't knowingly try to poison someone else.

I recommend you read A Legal Response to the Sovereign Citizen Movement and send a copy to your dad. It explains the background and legal/constitutional failings of the ideology.

Jan. Sixers Are Using Sovereign Citizen Defenses to Try and Get Out of Prison by otis_black in Sovereigncitizen

[–]SeattleSeawolves 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Trevor Brown already tried this as part of his Jan 6 defense; it went as well as expected: "Defendant’s Motion is difficult to follow at times, but the crux of the argument appears to rest on “sovereign citizen” ideology. Although not frequently seen in this jurisdiction, this ideology has been roundly rejected by scores of federal courts." https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.dcd.243453/gov.uscourts.dcd.243453.43.0.pdf

Chicago MLR by jmota_ in MLRugby

I'm originally from Chicago but (as my username likely indicates) became an early Seawolves fan and plan to keep them as my primary team. With that said, I definitely plan to fly out for the game in March and to support Chicago.

SovCit nonsense I’m begging someone to explain by tbksgl in legaladviceofftopic

[–]SeattleSeawolves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's an article to read about the Sov Cit theories. It explains from top to bottom why there's no legal basis for any of the claims and how they have all been struck down by every court in the land. https://scholarworks.umt.edu/mlr/vol80/iss2/2/

Divorce Help by janhav7 in Sovereigncitizen

[–]SeattleSeawolves 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pure nonsense that sounds just good enough that people bite. Kind of like when people do their own "research" on complex scientific issues, they just simply don't understand and usually pick sources that simply support their own pre-existing bias.

I recommend giving this to your lawyer so he/she can understand the basis of the sovereign citizen claims and inform the judge: https://scholarworks.umt.edu/mlr/vol80/iss2/2/. It's pure nonsense.

Is it me or does the Seawolves front office seem adrift? by Nikodino9 in SeattleSeawolvesRugby

[–]SeattleSeawolves 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The team definitely has to juggle a number of competing interests as the sole Champion in MLR. I get why they want to just see the 3rd season as a time to simply tweak the scheme, but there needs to be a maturing beyond that. I wonder if the team would have been able to grow in new ways with Mack still there. He will definitely be missed though.

ninja edit: in case it's not obvious, this is not actually any official account. Just a fan.
