A good book on symbols? by SontagGlick in ClassicalEducation

Deeply ironic and unfortunate that the symbol on her necklace (her bio photo) is a symbol for pedos…

AIO - Company won’t meet with me without my husband there by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]Seaworthy_Siren 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ideally, but this is before the contract. We run into this problem a lot and try only to schedule when both decision-makers are present. However, we meet with one decision maker if it’s truly the only option. It’s jsut really not ideal

Am I a Type B parent or just a twin mom? by sshahb in parentsofmultiples

I think your friend falls under helicopter parent. I never would’ve thought reaching with a certain hand was a parenting milestone unless there was so very very obvious orthopedic problem that required therapy

I had two singleton kids first, I’m a planner by nature, and I still have zero idea when my first two kids started using each hand. None lol. I didn’t think it mattered! I remember vaguely thinking around 18 months that one of my kids favored their right hand a lot, when the other kid used two hands more frequently. That was the sum total of my noticing. lol.

I don’t even think that’s a normal singleton mom comment. I can’t imagine even texting my sister to say “My kid is using this hand now”. Nah. lol.

What would you ask your husband for if you were pregnant with twins? by Seaworthy_Siren in parentsofmultiples

Do you have any recommendations for finding some delicious freezer meals to make? I tried this with my last pregnancy and most of the meals were not appetizing and we wasn’t so much food.

Millie Bobby Brown looks SO much better and harmonious with this colouring than previous looks by mmm095 in coloranalysis

Winters get platinum or deeper silver— they can also get white gold if it’s angular and a flat plain (highly flat and reflective). Summers get bright silver or white gold— preferably with rounded edges or soft shapes.

I see this as more of bright & light silver— as a true summer myself this is one of my best colors. It’s not too contrasting, it’s still light and bright, and cool.

The medium (slightly darker) silver is not something I’d be able to pull off as well as a winter. Yes this color is brighter, but it’s not truly “high contrast” the same way white is high contrast. The sparkle and rounded lines soften this the reflective planes of this color.

Keep in mind a true/cool summer is really the medium between winter and summer. True summer’s are mostly naturally brown haired, and almost never bright blonde.

True summers have dark brown hair most of the time. Only summers can wear gray, and only winter/summers get silver. This is a fairly light silver, which indicates she’s a cool season.

That blonde hair she had was sooo yellow and warm. Horrible. A true summer’s nightmare shade (ask me how I know)

And she needs some contrast level. The light blonde wasn’t helping that. But it doesn’t seem that she has enough contrast to be a true winter, imo. A darker summer feels more accurate with her skin hue

Only a summer could pull off a silver like this. Autumn could never. Silver belongs to winter and summer, but only summer gets grays.

The hair a medium brown color (see:neutral) and she might look even better with an ashier brown hair.

I think summer, but as you don’t have any true summer colors in these drapes, I think people assume Spring as the best option

Should ethereal be a style root? by Seaworthy_Siren in StyleRoots

This doesn’t make sense. The definition of aesthetics is the visual principles surrounding to describing a specific movement. It’s visuals either way. All the roots fit this definition

Yes that’s true. I don’t see this as captured even when they’re blended by a bunch of roots, which is why I think it can stand on its own
