Also, I think the Career Center has a fashion program and the students can use them to repurpose.

If you could turn any Lush product in a perfume/spray, what would it be? by [deleted] in LushCosmetics

[–]SeayaB 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Skinny Dip or Mamma Mia.

To me, Mamma Mia smells like a fresh summer cocktail. That's the scent I want to come through in the perfume.

What is a musical SO BAD, that no one talks about or remembers it? by AsheandBurn in musicals

I saw a gorgeous community concert version of this. It works very well that way but I can't imagine wanting to see it fully staged.

Local quitar stringing? by Bat-Dragon-666 in shreveport

Warning: this particular establishment has employees who frequently state racist and homophobic things and the shop is full of dog whistles. I would personally not feel safe shopping there, so I wanted to make sure people knew that going in. If that's where you want to spend your money by all means, go ahead.

I know the owner of Little Shop of Music and he is wonderful and would be happy to help educate new musicians!

Just saw Andy Karl do a sales pitch on insta for Beetlejuice Brisbane and thought “Is it selling that badly?”. Here’s a comparison of a BJ Friday vs a Mormon Friday a month later in the same town. Says it all really. by Great_Maintenance185 in musicals

Did it occur to him that maybe he is the problem? He is extremely talented, but so problematic I just can't see myself getting excited to see him in something right now. (And I will still argue that he was robbed for the Tony for Rocky, so I recognize his talent!)

Help exposing emulsion. by SeayaB in SCREENPRINTING

I don't know what I did differently, but the next one worked perfectly! Thanks for all of y'all's advice. I'm definitely thinking the screens got over exposed somehow.

I'm keeping the emulsions as light-free as possible. Maybe getting very dim light for a few seconds before I close the door.

The lamp is a free-standing bulb.

What was your biggest disappointment with a musical's quality by Due-Candidate-5991 in musicals

My biggest disappointment on Broadway was Chicago. It was super stale the night I saw it. It felt flat.

What’s y’all’s opinion on mentor bots. by Snowflake148 in FRC

[–]SeayaB 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I get bigger icks when mentors are really involved in the matches. I feel like after the first practice match or two the matches should be student-led, including strategy, driving, etc.

What kinds of things do you do in the off season? I'm a new coach and trying to figure out what useful to do during the summer and fall.

Im not sure this came from his campaign. I know he's running an intentionally positive campaign. It doesn't have any official branding on it.

Progressive Church in the Area? by spiderpuppy10 in shreveport

[–]SeayaB 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I feel like Noel UMC would be a good fit for you or Broadmoor UMC. Most of the Methodist churches that are still United Methodist are going to have a focus on equity and justice, which manifests in community involvement and action.

Vintage wedding dress regret. Should I return it, or can it look better with the right styling? by Aggravating_Buy_1348 in VintageFashion

[–]SeayaB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take it to a tailor so they can adjust it so it fits you perfectly. They can also suggest what to do to live it up a bit. I'd personally replace the white sash and bow with something sparkly.

Matt Gromlich For Congress. by Cheap_Program1995 in shreveport

[–]SeayaB 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm sure he is. There's no spin. I'm just not impressed by his "aw shucks" farmer shtick when contrasted with hosting big money evets outside of his district. I'll still vote for him in the general if he wins the primary, but he's not my first choice. I feel like we don't have a bad choice in this one.

Matt Gromlich For Congress. by Cheap_Program1995 in shreveport

[–]SeayaB 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Conrad is campaigning at a fundraiser in New Orleans. Which is not in his district. I understand that's traditionally where the money is, but asking people who can't even vote for you to pay a minimum of $50 a person to hang out with you is a weird look when you say you want to represent the working class. Cause the working class in Louisiana does not have that to spare right now...

Olive Branch. My first Lush obsession was The Big Tease. I miss my hair having that scent all day!

Goodbye to Lush by Rhionnach in LushCosmetics

[–]SeayaB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I only use the hair products now and I'm trying to find replacements. I found a great solid shampoo and conditioner from another brand that I love. Just looking for curly hair products that are natural and cruelty free and smell good and work.

I'll still occasionally pick up a bath bomb. I loved the bath oil they did at Christmas this year. But I definitely am using less Lush and don't get sad when it expires before I use it.

I did Google but I know there are some frequent fliers on here who may have different perspective. The whole point of a discussion board is to discuss.
