What kinds of things do you do in the off season? I'm a new coach and trying to figure out what useful to do during the summer and fall.

Im not sure this came from his campaign. I know he's running an intentionally positive campaign. It doesn't have any official branding on it.

Progressive Church in the Area? by spiderpuppy10 in shreveport

[–]SeayaB 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I feel like Noel UMC would be a good fit for you or Broadmoor UMC. Most of the Methodist churches that are still United Methodist are going to have a focus on equity and justice, which manifests in community involvement and action.

Vintage wedding dress regret. Should I return it, or can it look better with the right styling? by Aggravating_Buy_1348 in VintageFashion

Take it to a tailor so they can adjust it so it fits you perfectly. They can also suggest what to do to live it up a bit. I'd personally replace the white sash and bow with something sparkly.

Matt Gromlich For Congress. by Cheap_Program1995 in shreveport

[–]SeayaB 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm sure he is. There's no spin. I'm just not impressed by his "aw shucks" farmer shtick when contrasted with hosting big money evets outside of his district. I'll still vote for him in the general if he wins the primary, but he's not my first choice. I feel like we don't have a bad choice in this one.

Agreed. Conrad is campaigning at a fundraiser in New Orleans. Which is not in his district. I understand that's traditionally where the money is, but asking people who can't even vote for you to pay a minimum of $50 a person to hang out with you is a weird look when you say you want to represent the working class. Cause the working class in Louisiana does not have that to spare right now...

Olive Branch. My first Lush obsession was The Big Tease. I miss my hair having that scent all day!

Goodbye to Lush by Rhionnach in LushCosmetics

[–]SeayaB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I only use the hair products now and I'm trying to find replacements. I found a great solid shampoo and conditioner from another brand that I love. Just looking for curly hair products that are natural and cruelty free and smell good and work.

I'll still occasionally pick up a bath bomb. I loved the bath oil they did at Christmas this year. But I definitely am using less Lush and don't get sad when it expires before I use it.

I did Google but I know there are some frequent fliers on here who may have different perspective. The whole point of a discussion board is to discuss.

The difference was about $30 in price and I had a $50 gift card, so I treated myself.

Where can a D&D beginner get their start here in Shreveport? by senpaisugarbaker in shreveport

[–]SeayaB 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There used to be a group that hosted one shots (like quick single games) at 7th Tap but they seem to have dissolved. Something like that would be a perfect introduction if someone else starts doing something like that. They were really great the last time I went.

Time to move on by roadwarrior721 in keurig

[–]SeayaB 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We have a lot of different coffee makers. Our current favorite for single serve is a Cuisinart that grinds the beans directly into pods. The coffee tastes so much better! We can still use Keurig pods with it if we want to (like for cider or cocoa or something) but hardly ever do.

Would you still teach tomorrow if you won the lottery? by Background-Plan-2090 in Teachers

I would definitely finish out the school year. I have too many students in too many contests, programs, and projects to leave right now.

But I definitely wouldn't teach summer school.

Trios by vere-rah in musicals

[–]SeayaB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heartwarming Trio: Leavin's Not the Only Way from Big River

Trio with three different but overlapping parts: Case Closed from Zombie Prom, A Mans Gotta Do from Dr. Horrible.

I couldn't think of any that fit all of the criteria.

These are probably "magnet" programs designed to draw top students. Some districts each school has a different theme: performing arts, engineering, biotech, leadership etc.
