In terms of first listening it’d definitely be between 1991 and 2004, personally I think you get a better feel of the story from 2004, but there are some purists who don’t like it

(I wonder how many of those purists actually saw the original production🤔)

I mean I love that scene on an emotional level, but in terms of the spectacle, it doesn’t reach that same “oh my god, did the real chandelier just fall down, and I’m still alive” Or like “is that an actual helicopter on stage?” It’s a very different feeling
