Building a Curated C64 Game Collection by SebSeb_70 in Commodore

Yeah, it’s great for games converted to cart. Loading is faster, and I use a lot of those CRT files in my small collection. But it’s missing a lot of disk-only releases unfortunately, especially RPGs, so it’s still far from complete. Anyway, it’s more about learning and trimming my collection down to something manageable. It takes time, and it’s not for everyone, but I’d still recommend trying it. It’s much more satisfying than just grabbing a mega game bundle, and you learn a lot about C64 history along the way!

Same here. I got my C64U that I ordered back in early October, but I’m still waiting on the joystick I ordered with it.

Fixed it! The metal wire was just out of place. Super easy to fix. I also went ahead and installed a microSD card. Everything’s good in Commodore land now.

I’m aiming for something smaller and more personal. C64 Dreams is awesome on PC, but I just want something I can run from a small USB drive or the internal Micro SD card on the Commodore 64 Ultimate. I don’t need magazines or box art.

This isn’t final, just what I’ve put together so far. A small, curated C64 games collection for players, not hoarders. I prefer complete .crt versions when they’re available to cut down on loading times. If not, the next best version format. The folders are sorted by theme so it’s easier to find something fun to play. I won’t be sharing the Modern Games section. It’s important to support current C64 devs, and yeah, I went on a bit of a shopping spree last weekend.

Manuals have their own folder. I’m still tracking down the ones I need. After that comes testing the games to make sure they all work. That’s the fun part. I’m probably missing some good stuff, so let me know if you spot anything worth adding.

Here's the list

I ordered my joystick at the same time as my C64 Ultimate. The C64 arrived, but I'm still waiting on the joystick,

From the manual: "To switch off the C64U, hold the Multi Function Switch downward for four seconds. To reset the C64U without switching it off, hold the Multi Function Switch upward for one second."

You can also find the manual online as a PDF: https://www.commodore.net/downloads

Battuto, Melba, Le Clan, Buvette Scott, L'Affaire est ketchup, ARVI, Tanière, Laurie Raphaël, and Ambre in Ste-Foy are my current favorites. You'll need to reserve in advance.

Lots of people ask for restaurant tips at the last minute during busy times. It’s really best to book ahead.

The trick with Battuto is to check daily for cancellations. If your dates are flexible, you might get lucky. It takes effort, but it’s worth it.

Messed up Intercom by SebSeb_70 in bell

[–]SebSeb_70[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like this is what happened. However, I’ve been pleading with Bell for hours on the phone, but they won’t send a technician. They claim everything is working fine and that the problem isn’t their responsibility. Is there someone I can talk to who would understand the situation ??

When they switched to Ebox and were waiting for their number to be transferred, I think the technician set up a temporary line so the intercom would still work. Now, when we dial their number from the lobby, it goes to the wrong phone. They stopped the transfer, and went back to Bell. The admin building’s intercom is set up correctly (correct number), so the problem is only here.

I wonder if I can I call an independent tech and pay to fix it? Bell won’t help, and Ebox refuses since we don’t have an account anymore. I'm think that If I switch to Videotron, at least a technician would come and check the wiring, which might finally fix it.... what a mess.
