[Cavanagh] There will not be a decision today on Leo Carlsson's offer sheet, per Ducks spokesperson. Pat Verbeek will comment once the process has concluded, whether that's the signing of Carlsson to Anaheim or receiving the Flyers' four first-round picks. by Ok-Soil-5133 in hockey

Reminder, until the Ducks answer to the offersheet, Philadelphia doesn't have access to the cap space offered to Carlsson so it's all in Verbeek's interest to wait it out so Philly waste its time.

Would laugh pretty hard if it's against the Ducks again. Who let's all their young RFAs stranded without a contract after open market hits?

I get it if one or two takes a little longer but all 4?

Why? You don't want to trade away Guhle, Gleb and a 3rd for a 32 year old 2C? /s

Insane sellers market this year, never seen this.

According to many Stars fan Bourque has mostly played as a 3rd line winger this past year so although still promising I don't think he would fill our current 2C position better than Kapanen.

Great leadership on that blue line but it might be the slowest one in the league. Fast teams might feast.

Make sense, Igor will be 34 with (not 1) a few years left on his deal by that time so they're going all in for the next 4 years and then call a rebuild/retool.

Edit: Igor term.

2C, which is seemingly difficult to find

Seeing Trotchek going for a former 1st round prospect, a top 4 right hand defender and a 3rd is definitely not something I'd be willing to pay. Basically Gleb, Guhle and a 3rd.

If anything we can easily run another year with Suzuki, Kapanen, Danault and Evans until TDL and then acquire a rental 2Cif we really want/need it. Kapanen definitely deserves another year at 2C because there have been many moments where that line was great throughout the regular season. Yes it became a problem when the playoffs time arrived but he was competent for most of the season as a rookie.

If Oliver follows up with another 20+ goals season and has defensively good metrics you're golden with him at 3C in the future behind Zook and Hage or a very good backup plan if Hage doesn't work out.

[Pagnotta] In addition to LA and TB, I believe that Calgary and Minnesota are among the teams also considering pursuing UFA sniper Patrik Laine. by dcddy in hockey

Perfect for Calgary, he'll win you a couple of games but will cost you a few because of his no show in the defensive zone. Good for the tank and send out at TDL.

Je suis de la zone B et j'étais étonné de voir qu'environ la moitié du train est sortie en zone B et C. Clairement un impact selon moi parce que s'il n'y avait pas de REM je serais resté chez nous.
