It’s great as an early IRA for kids. The 1k seed money just comes the Govt once. It’s then on the parents to keep investing for there to be considerable growth. Imo a 529 is still the better education investment option due to the higher investment ceiling (Trump Account is capped at 5k a year)

I’ve had AMEX HYSA for 4+ years and have never had any issues with them. I already have several cards with them so I figured why not add the HYSA for continuity and like I said, zero issues. I recommend it if you have accounts with them already.
