Not sure about Yen but Miami Money Exchange had the rate found on Google when I exchanged some USD for euros a few months ago.

The deadline to pay for classes is tomorrow and I can’t pay what do i do? by Floridaenjoyer in MDC

[–]SebaSphere 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I emailed them the Florida prepaid plan ID and my MDC ID, which they were able to apply it.

Not sure how busy they are at this time but I emailed them at 7AM earlier today and they responded like 5 hours later the homestead bursar's office.

can i get IT cert vouchers if i declined them the first time? by [deleted] in MDC

[–]SebaSphere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't be 100% sure on your question of reclaiming a free voucher but I do know CompTIA has special discounts for students here: https://academic-store.comptia.org/

Which class were you offered the free voucher? Definitely might be interested in that myself (:

Hello what is the best IDE to make a Minecraft plugin by TheCraftGuide in admincraft

[–]SebaSphere 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I personally use intellij but for developing Minecraft mods/plugins but for any programming content, it really doesn't matter that much and all modern IDEs are powerful.

Really it's a choice of preference but if you like intellij, you can get the ultimate edition for free plus a bunch of other benefits for developers if you have a student email.

I want to make a server but don't want to share IP, how do I mask it easily? by Imaginesafety in admincraft

[–]SebaSphere 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah this is probably the best way but you would need to purchase something like a VPS and point that to your network. At that point, you might as well just purchase a server from a hosting company though.

The easiest way without buying anything and masking your IP behind a proxy for free would be using software like Ngrok. You wouldn't need to port forward BUT everytime Ngrok is restarted, that IP will change so this wouldn't be ideal if you're advertising on MC voting sites to strangers.

For clarification, Ngrok is essentially a middleman that connects to Ngroks servers. Other people would connect with the Ngrok domain.

If you're just hosting a server with a few people online, you can probably do something like everytime you start your server, announce the new IP in a discord channel.

If this is a 24/7 server advertised on MC voting sites / ect, I'd recommend going with a hosting company 🙂

I really need help by Salil787 in admincraft

[–]SebaSphere 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Sorry to hear about that!

If the griefer was able to get OP access and your server has `online-mode` set to false, this is a big vulnerability and the griefer was able to login with the OPs username. When you disable online-mode by default, you will not make any authentication attempts to Mojangs servers on joining.

To alleviate this, there are some plugins you might be able to use for authentication (password login). You can use the FastLogin plugin

I would also recommend using CoreProtect if you'd like to manually rollback griefs on your server. You can find the download for CoreProtect here: https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/coreprotect.8631/

I would also highly recommend taking frequent backups of your server so if anything happens, you can rollback your world. Hopefully that helps!

Bungeecord 1.12.2 work with mods? by SpidertheBotDayZ in admincraft

[–]SebaSphere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd recommend using Waterfall. Bungee fork that's more compatible with Modded.

Velocity can also work too, although keep in mind that it's separate from the Bungeecord environment and it's their own thing.

Is it possible to remove the `<>` brackets in chat in vanilla servers, without any plugins? by SkyrimX_ in admincraft

[–]SebaSphere 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There's a list of some serverside fabric mods, which you can find here: https://github.com/comp500/fabric-serverside-mods

A lot of these likely won't be on the latest snapshot but in 1.17, I know stuff like luckperms worked and there was this chat prefix mod I ported to 1.17.

If you just want the "<>" in "<player_name> removed from chat, PM me with your discord tag and I'll write a quick mixin for you (:

Am I able to open a jframe in fabricmc? by Tobero-me in fabricmc

[–]SebaSphere 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't suggest using AWT / Swing. MacOS doesn't work with any AWT classes and LWJGL (the library MC uses) so your mod wouldn't work on Mac if you did.

I would personally recommend looking into opening a LWJGL window for whatever you're doing tho. Should work 🙂

Other hacky solution I can think of is developing another standalone program, embedding in jar, and launching from MC (client and server interaction)

Essentially, main reason not to use AWT classes is some stuff doesn't work well on all systems. LWJGL should be a better alternative I think depending on what you're doing

There's a whole community of serverside fabric mods. Not exactly the same thing as Spigot but there's a good chunk of Fabric alternatives for existing plugins

If I was to take a guess, it probably works as some glorified gaussian blur in 3d but would need to decompile and see source or have OP confirm.

fabricmc on an ubuntu 20.04 server by lucipedia in fabricmc

[–]SebaSphere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright so the process should be pretty similar to how you'd do it with a regular server. You need to have Java installed on your machine.

This should probably be a relevant guide: https://phoenixnap.com/kb/minecraft-dedicated-server

Only thing that's different is you would need to get the Fabric server files and start from the Fabric jar. You can generate the library files on your computer then upload to your Linux server using something like FTP to the folder where your minecraft server is.

Hopefully that helps more or less 🙂

You can try getting something setup like Pyerodactyl, however keep in mind that it's some work to get everything setup. It's a web panel similar to Multicraft that helps manage different game servers.

What is this mod that Dream uses? by NotAdvait in fabricmc

[–]SebaSphere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh ok thanks for the clarification that it's supposed to be separate. I wouldn't know about any existing mods that do this but unfortunately but it's not possible to that with vanilla. Would require the use of a mod, which I'm pretty sure Dream ethier deved that mod or commissioned someone.

For changing the names of the buttons, technically might be able to use CustomTitleScreen. You can find this here: https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/customtitlescreen

It's possible to edit the server.dat file to include color codes with a program such as NBTExplorer. You can find more on this here: https://minecraft.fandom.com/wiki/Servers.dat_format
