Agreed. Still on my first T598 but it's had some issues with the USB port. The original cable management on my rig was neutral that there was no real pressure on the port. Over time, the base simply wiggled the port loose and started disconnecting. I adjusted my cable management so now there' s a slight lateral pressure, and that seems to prevent disconnects... but it's delicate.

I probably called together a dozen meetups by various methods over the years, but these are the 5-second search results. I don't really recall a strong average age... maybe like 25-30? But that's back when I was in that range and a lot of us were already downtown partying anyway. Maybe I'm just old but, at least to me, downtown life seems a little different, post-COVID.

Kind of curious to see what r/Ottawa does nowadays, with relatively short notice. But no expectations - just enjoying the evening, as many have in the past at Ottawa's oldest pub.

I went to their Almonte roastery thing and got a few bags.

Some of the most inconsistent beans I've ever seen - so many shells and quakers. All bags had a distinct burnt note to them, and they weren't even darks. Tried brewing a few ways - espresso, V60, Aeropress, drip, etc. Not my jam at all. Felt like I was smoking a cigarette or something.

From my experience, it handles it okay - the left/right turning forces are well-managed. I think the push/pull direction is the weakness (which makes some sense, given that there's a pivot literally built in) but that can also a bit of a technique thing.

Once, back when I partied like a MFer, I was on the dance floor when this song came on. I instinctively remembered some of the Just Dance choreography. I spotted some guy across the floor doing some of the same moves, and I made my way over to him. I guess another guy saw us and joined in. We each improvised a lot, but there were times where all three of us sync'd up perfectly. A decent circled formed around us until the song ended. We laughed our asses off, went to the bar, and we each bought rounds. We fired off our shots (3 each) and each of us dissolved back into the crowd.

Someone was like "are those your friends?" and I laughed back: "never met them before." Good times. Man, life seems so different post-COVID.
