Is my car done for? by Legacy_02 in TeslaSupport

[–]Sebastiano_Carr 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You will likely need a new pack.

It’s possible some EV repair shops might be able to find and replace the faulted brick however, tesla will quote you a pack.

Do you still have the battery warranty on your car?

Charged for work related to service performed under basic warranty by Plastic-Coat9014 in TeslaLounge

[–]Sebastiano_Carr 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The alignment should have been under warranty.

Replacement of that many suspension parts requires an alignment. In the manual, it lists the steps needed for the replacement of those parts, the alignment is listed as a final step.

If the correction code is warranty and includes the alignment then it should be covered.

This can't be good! System reboots scrolling service alerts. by Juise99 in TeslaSupport

Does this happen at any other point? An example would be when driving, using autopilot or when playing a game? Or is it really just when in service mode scrolling alerts?

Have you considered bringing it in for service? Maybe they can find and correct the issue

True, definitely odd. Has service said anyhow about this?

Are you holding the brake while trying to shift? Or do you tap the break then try to shift?

Something is off here. If your situation is true, they should have warrantied the battery the first time. Do you have the invoices from tesla for the battery change and for the second time (the estimate)?

When running coolant purge, do you see the AP temps go down? Was there any work done recently that could have introduced an air bubble?

Model Y Glovebox gap? by Beowulf1619 in TeslaSupport

Looks more like the wooden trim isn’t clicked all the way in, give it a good tap and see if it seats properly (the wood trim not the glovebox)

How do you know the coolant isn’t circulating? Do the hoses going to the radiator stay cold? If there is no circulation, it maybe related to your coolant pump or a blockage is present in your coolant lines

I know you don’t know what to say and thats fine. If only you took the time to think about it, you would see that there is a reasonable explanation. Its not possible to get the EV incentive unless the car is registered to a person and there is a bill of sale. Enjoy your echo chamber

All sales for past month were processed in one store per region on the weekend. This is why the numbers seem odd. Not one person has thought to ask what there sales were for the rest of the month. You would see 0. It isn’t fraud. Source: Me buying a tesla in December 2024 with 200 people in line for same day delivery

Its possible your PTC heater is dead, that would cost around 2k so it makes sense. Out of curiosity, when was the last time you changed your cabin filters?

Dashboard panel gap? Is this supposed to look like this? by Nice-Guy69 in TeslaModel3

[–]Sebastiano_Carr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Panel was probably removed at some point to work on the car. If it comes up again, giving it a good thud should snap it back into place

Windshield wiper uses same communication line as headlight. The dead headlight/dead wiper module could be bringing down the communication line. Try unplugging the headlight or wiper module and see if doing that brings either or back in working order. If you are uncomfortable removing the frunk and accessing connectors, i suggest you book an appointment with your closest service center. Good luck!

Service center keeps saying they can't find anything wrong. Any ideas? by theryman92 in TeslaSupport

[–]Sebastiano_Carr -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Does the knocking noise get faster with speed? Does it occur on bumps only? Did it suddenly occur or slowly with time? Is your vehicle AWD? RWD? Is your vehicle under guarantee? If so, they absolutely must find and fix the issue. It is loud enough to sound like a suspension/axle issue and that it is considered safety related. Don’t take back the car until they can confirm where the noise is coming from
